Chateau de Villars is nonetheless an upmarket Bed&Breakfast (Chambre d'Hotes); no catering apart from continental style breakfast and should not be marketed on a par with a similarly priced Hotel which would normally come with some level of all day service. "A truly relaxing and gorgeous place to stay with friends and family. Our most memorable part of the stay is the evening meal out on the terrace. We couldn’t disturb anyone else and just loved all being around the large table enjoying each other’s company, surrounded by bucolic scenery. The The rooms are so lovely, but despite the grandeur the chateau just felt so friendly and homely. The pool was also a joy, we all had great fun there. The owners are truly delightful and helpful."

"We had a wonderful time at this location. Beautiful surroundings, a lovely castle, and a house with a pool. Upon arrival, a few things were amiss, and these were addressed and resolved immediately. So the service was very good. The location is good, 4* For a 5* review we advise the owners to do more in terms of maintenance."
