"We've stayed in many self catering cottages and had a very different experience in this one. On VRBO the gite is advertised as having a lake view, its no where near a lake! After we'd paid for the gite the owner contacted us for €300 cash deposit, and told us about additional electricity charges per day. There was no mention of this on VRBO, so the owner waived the charge. We arrived at 4pm on a Sunday and immediately had to find a supermarket as no basics/welcome pack was provided e.g bread,...

"Très jolie propriété bel accueil. Maison en hauteur dominant le paysage a perte de vue. Table de ping pong. Baby foot. Badminton. Piscine privées. Tout pour nous rendre le sejour agréablement. Belles vaisselle, machines à laver la vaisselles et linge. Proche de tout"

"Der Aufenthalt litt unter Dauerregen, wofür die Gastgeber natürlich nichts konnten. Nur dafür ist das Appartment zu klein und unkomfortabel eingerichtet, das Terrassendach undicht und die Terrasse somt nicht nutzbar, die Sitzgelegenheiten unbequem und zum Trocknen der Sachen keine Hängemöglichkeiten. Die Küche auch nur äußerst sparsam bestückt. Ansonsten toller Garten, alles sauber, herrliche Vorgebirgslandschaft. Bei Sonnenschein sicher alles etwas positiver."

"As two families with 5 young children between us we wanted somewhere with things to do on site for them. We booked this property as we thought it would be a great place to stay for our children. It is described as a luxury holiday cottage, it is definitely not! We arrived after midnight (having informed the owner we would be arriving late) to unmade beds which we then had to make up for the 9 of us. There were cobwebs, insects and flies everywhere. You can't lock the house. The next day...

"Petite maison de caractère (un ancien four) bien rénovée et très bien aménagée dans une campagne calme. Aux abord de Revel, belle ville très animée avec son marché des producteurs le mercredi soir et son superbe marché sous les Halles du samedi. Toulouse, Albi, le Lac de St Féréol.... Les propriétaires sont très gentils et au petits soins pour leurs hôtes."

"Magnifique endroit fidèle à l’annonce, idéalement situé en pleine nature entre Toulouse et Carcassonne, à deux pas de Revel ! Idéal pour se reposer dans un cadre verdoyant, les hôtes sont super agréable et arrangeant ! Un endroit a retenir pour un prochain voyage dans la région !! Merci encore"
