Ok, but looks better in the photos
Have just returned from a two week stay at Villa Enya. The house was basic but comfortable with aircon working in the main bedroom and lounge. The views are wonderful and the location is isolated, although there are occasional farmers and walkers around the property. I must say that on arrival we were somewhat disappointed with the general state of the outside area, considering all of the 5-star reviews. The outside banisters are in a very poor state of decay. The owner should really update the property photos to reflect this. The outdoor furniture is mostly old and dilapidated, however the sun lounger cushions are reasonably new. There is only one large sun umbrella and this is broken. If you want shade you need to chase the shadows of the palm trees or sit underneath the veranda. The barbecue is good and so is the pizza oven. The swimming pool is plastic lined and leaks about 10cm a day. It needs to be topped up regularly otherwise the level drops below the filter and this results in the pool going cloudy. Despite all of this, we enjoyed our two week stay at Villa Enya. No problems with the unpaved road from restaurant El Charco, although I wouldn't recommend driving it after too many beers (not sure what the Canadian guy was referring to in his review, it really isn’t that bad, just make sure you take the route from El Charco).

Isolated and alone
The property is off the map, gravel mountain road, requires 4 wheel drive off road vehicle. There are no guardrails on the road, no lighting and my Volvo SUV hit bottom several times. The vehicle got stuck on the ramp into the driveway. The accessibility to the property should have been disclosed by the owner. It took us a couple of days to arrange alternative accommodation, and we left as soon as we could. This was a terrible experience for us, and begs the question of what responsibility you have for the accuracy of the information you allow on your website. I chose your service because I trusted that I would be getting what was being described. If I wanted to get the cheapest accommodation available on the WWW I would have rented through a lesser known service provider.

A place to relax
Incredible location with great views. The pool and the patio with the bbq are the main assets of the house. The rooms are OK, the equipment good so we had what was expected. Friendly and helpful property maintenance guy. If you want to relax enjoying the mild Malaga weather and great views, this is the place.

Lovely villa but disappointed by wasp issue
The villa was great and we would have fully enjoyed the holiday if we’d been able to use the pool more. There were loads of wasps in and around the pool and my 7 year old son and wife were stung twice while we were there and only found out at check out that there was a nest in the side of the pool which explained why they were so aggressive. Due to this we could only use the pool first thing in the morning and after sunset. We knew that that villa was up on a hill but it was not clear in the description how bad the road is up to the villa which takes around 10 minutes to drive from the village and it’s a bit sketchy to say the least in places especially passing other vehicles. Other than that the villa offers lots of space both inside and out with amazing views and sunsets. Ideal for families (if they sort the wasp infestation out!) although it is quite remote. Lovely restaurant called el charco in the village where you meet Roben the housekeeper on arrival who was also very helpful while we were there. Listing also states air con but this is only in the living room and didn’t work very well so it was uncomfortably warm at night during our stay but it was in the mid 30s. Overall an enjoyable holiday but disappointed mainly with the wasp situation and no offer of any compensation by the owner even as a gesture of good will. Hopefully they got this resolved for future tenants!

Utter bliss!
What can I say? My husband and I spent 3 weeks of total bliss at Villa Enya. The location is spot on, the views are breathtaking and the villa has every comfort you need. We really didn't want to leave! Hosts Tony & Lindi were perfect. Thanks very much Horst, we had a fantastic time!

Wij hebben drie prachtige weken gehad in Villa Enya.Wij tweetjes hebben genoten van het zeer mooie huis,het zwembad,het uitzicht,de omgeving en de rust. De ontvangs was hartelijk,het huis was zeer netjes en er was werkelijk niets te kort. Zeker een aanrader en voor herhaling vatbaar!!!

Die Anreise zum Haus über das Navi führt über eine Bergstraße die für max. 1 Tonne zugelassen ist und nicht für jedes Fahrzeug geeignet (steile Anstiege, sandiges Terrain, schmaler Weg). Eigentlich sollte der Treffpunkt im Dorf sein, an einem Restaurant, leider ist uns das nicht vorher mitgeteilt worden. Diese Straße ist hier etwas breiter ca. 1 1/2 Autos, trotzdem anspruchsvoll. Als erstes zum positiven, die Gegend ist wunderschön und die Aussicht vom Haus her, hervorragend. Leider ist der Stausee nicht mehr von da aus zu sehen, da der Wasserstand nur noch bei 10% liegt. Auch die Ruhe dort ist sehr erholsam. Jetzt zum negativen: Das gesamte Areal, sowie die Einrichtung ist sehr sanierungsbedürftig (Pool verliert Wasser wegen Rissen in der Boden- bzw. Wandfolie, er musste täglich ca. 10cm nachfüllt werden. Die beiden Doppelbetten sind kaputt, bei einem liegt das Kopfteil tiefer als das Fußende. Die Bestuhlung war zum Teil kaputt. In einem Kleiderschrank haben wir Holzwürmer gefunden, defekte Türgriffe, fehlende Schlösser an den Türen. Die Schränke und Kommoden, sind zum Teil abgeschlossen oder mit Privaten Sachen gefüllt, daher nicht genügend Platz zu lagern eigener Sachen. 2 Schlafzimmer sind sehr schlecht belüftet, daher sehr drückend beim schlafen. Im Haus waren auch überdurchschnittlich viele Ameisen, auch für Landverhältnisse. Man konnte kein Essen offen liegen lassen. Die eingestellten Bilder entsprechen nicht mehr ganz der jetzigen Situation vor Ort.
