President Hotel Athens

4/10 Poor

"I have stayed here too many times. This stay was not in high season & I found the cleaning staff lacking in time, motivation & knowledge. I can't come to a non serviced room after being out for 7 hours only to be told that people checking out had priority. What? Also most days the internet was weak or non existent. The TV played 1 channel, ERT1. While the channels exist, they need internet to work & being told to go to the roof for better signal was not a good option. The location is fine if you need to travel north or south but this stay, sadly, was not the best."

"Those hotel is well positioned in Athens and provides easy access to the metro. The rooftop restaurant, bar and pool have excellent views of the Acropolis and are an excellent facility. Our room was rather small but access to the club lounge was much appreciated. The balcony was a nice feature but spoilt by large amounts of cigarette smoke coming from other guests, which was most unpleasant. The food in the hotel was of a good standard but not exceptional. The breakfast layout was badly organised mainly due to poor siting of the coffee machines and the plate storage, combined with inadequate consideration of person flow through the dining room. The staff were generally very helpful and spoke good English which was much appreciated. Overall a good hotel in Central Athens but with some room for improvement."

"Rooms are comfortable and clean, and nice roof top pool. The light shining through the transparent glass wall in the shower does little for anyone trying to sleep in while their another occupant is up and using the shower/bathroom. There is no Netflix, etc. and using a HDMI cable did not work to attach a computer/tablet to watch movies. Only 2-3 TV channels in English. If the hotel has a conference, the elevators are over filled, especially in the morning, trying to get to the roof top breakfast area. There is no other location in the hotel for breakfast. Took almost 15 minutes to get a elevator car down to the lobby to check-out. No free morning coffee available. Metro station 15 minute walk. Overall, not a "Grand Hyatt" experience at all. Find a small hotel closer to the Acropolis main area to really experience Athens!"
