Homecoming Week for my Navy Son

The house is in a great location near a great quiet beach indeed. That was what we were told and that is what we got.Bike riding through this neighborhood was awesome and then going to the Virginia beach boardwalk was eas. We all enjoy that and even rented more bike at Cherri's next to Watermans restaurant. The weather was great all week. The eleven of us were comfortable. When we first arrived there were some issues with the overall cleanliness and I did call Anchor Realty immediately. We cleaned it ourselves - countertops, pool deck, inside floor of the elevator, etc. The elevator was a plus for my 83 yr. old mother. The refrigerator ice maker is broken, and the garage refrigerator smelt like fish. Figured out ourselves how to open the garage door opener inside about three days into our stay. Cleaned up an umbrella inside the garage to use on the pool deck table all week. Swept up the pool deck and in particular under the big pool table. Had to clean the very dirty grill with minimum worn grill brush. Should have brought my own I guess. We used it for lunch a few times. Could not eat outside because the flies were brutal. Bringing the grilled food in and out to the level to the kitchen area was a workout getting into and out of the alarmed pool deck slider. Had to tighten various door handles with my own screwdriver. Had to borrow a HDMI cable for upstair TV DVD player so we could watch the movies we brought and returned that to one of the TVs in the bedrooms. Sliding door shades, and a couple of window shades were missing or broken in a few rooms. One chair leg was already was broken in the bottom floor bedrooms. You could tell that the property has got some rental use "wear" indeed. We worked through it. The pool was also awesome with the outside shower. It's door had loose screws that were tightened but kept loosening on usage. Recommend tree trimming on the side of the house.because that is overcoming that side beyond the roof lin
