"I had a nice stay at Barclay Cottage Inn overall. The property was clean, reasonably priced, and conveniently located near the beach. The service was also good, and I had a pleasant experience with the staff. My biggest disappointment was the breakfast. I realize the property describes it as a continental breakfast, so I may have had different expectations based on some of the breakfast photos I saw online. "Beautiful property, We always enjoy staying there while in VB"

"Overall experience was great. It took a very long time to check in even with placing prior arrangements. Prices for water, snacks was outrageous! Went to the lounge there at the resort and paid 43.00 for 2 adult beverages, that is just rediculous. Putting a hold of 150.00 per night on a credit card for "incidentals" wow!! I understand its a resort but it was halloween not the 4th of july."

"Our hotel room was perfect, and we loved hearing the oceans waves."

"Enjoyed the beautiful oceanfront view from the balcony of our room. Breathtaking! Great location at the quiet end of the beach. Older property but well kept and comfortable. In room kitchenette was wonderful and free parking was an extra plus"

"Great ocean front location! Staff were very friendly and helpful. Large breakfast buffet included was a bonus. They should include parking in the nightly rate though instead of charging $20 extra per night."

"The location is convenient. I was in a room with a view of the beach and a balcony. The rooms however are older and could definitely use some remodeling. I only stayed one night but can’t say I would be back if I had to stay longer. The staff was friendly."

"I loved everything about this hotel and I do mean EVERYTHING! Oceanfront room with balcony, staff, breakfast! The availability of early check-in, spacious room, etc. Me and my husband was there to celebrate our 35th Anniversary but we both had allergies that flared up as soon we got there and wasn’t feeling up to doing a lot but having a room with such a beautiful view made it not so bad."

"Every room has a ocean view, and staff was very nice and helpful."
