We found ourselves driving along this gorgeous gorge by a lucky accident. It wasn't the Gorges du Verdon, or even the nearby Gorges du Cevennes but still pretty amazing.

"we stayed there for a week, the house is beautiful on the outside (authentic) The large swimming pool is pleasant especially with those warm temperatures! Was also serviced twice during our stay by someone there on site. The house could use some freshening up on the inside, it was clean but in a French way 😉, especially the ants were annoying (they were even in our baguette 😱) Also nice and beautiful villages to visit nearby! The children had the time of their lives with the beautiful swimming...

"Everything about this property is lovely. It is nicely decorated and equipped with all modern conveniences. Les environs sont magnifiques ( lac du Salagou, le cirque de Mourèze, Saint Guilhem le desert……..). Jean François est accueillant, réactif et de bons conseils. "House well equipped and comfortable. Access to UK programmes via Sky box appreciated, but no Wi-fi a bit disappointing. A few points I feel are worth making - I hope you’ll take them in the spirit they are offered: Lounge seating a bit uncomfortable. Pool clearly has a leak and needed topping up daily. Some light switches not very secure - one in particular is for the short hall leading to the 2nd bedroom. We enjoyed our 10 days here, allowing us to visit Soubes again after selling our villa...

"Medieval monastery converted to a beautiful hotel with loads of character and charm. Lovely grounds surrounding the hotel were ideal for afternoon picnics or reading under the shade of the massive pine trees. Great restaurant in-house with locally sourced menu. Every detail was perfect and the staff were brilliant. The surrounding Gorges du Tarn and Gorge de la Jonte were absolutely astounding. Great base for exploring the Cevennes. "
