"Nicely located just under the castle. Rooms are great on the 1st floor, a little smaller on the rest of the property. The small pool is a nice touch. Beware, No restaurant in the hotel!"

"Hotel is situated a little tucked away from the main area, but it’s a small town and easy to get around. We were not able to check in before 3pm, and were asked to ring the buzzer every time to be let in. It was a little confusing, but we managed. The room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and the bathroom was luxurious. We enjoyed our stay, but we also barely spent any time in it as there is so much to do around Saumur. Everything is within walking distance, even the train station (although a little farther, it’s still walkable)."

"The château is beautiful. The room was well appointed and the dinner and the chef are amazing. There are really beautiful scenes of the river and the surrounding area is so gorgeous."

"The property offers so much space in a very convenient location. Our host, Gilles, was the best we've ever experienced. He called a couple of days before our arrival to ask about bedroom setup, and see if we had any questions. He met us upon our arrival to give us a tour of his beautiful property, and checked-in on a regular basis during our stay to see if we needed anything. The added comforts, from the pool to the game room were enjoyed by our entire party of six. Saumur is also a wonderful location for visiting the city as well as other attractions all within an hour's drive."

"Studio has everything you need for a self-sufficient stay. Loved eating outside on our private terrace. Is mostly renovated with a few dated fixtures. Good but firm bed."

"Good location (very close to the train station and downtown) and relatively quiet for being located on a major road at a major intersection. The building is nice, solidly constructed with spacious rooms and high ceilings. The room needs some updating in terms of decor and there are little touches that show a lack of very careful attention to maintenance (curtains that aren’t attached completely at the top of the window, dead mosquitoes on the sheer curtains). A little more careful attention to these details would go a long way to improving the first impression. That said, the room was spacious (a corner room -05) and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were welcoming and pleasant. All in all, I recommend this hotel and would stay again on another visit to the Saumur area."

"Great location. Privilege rooms worth extra cost - great views over river and Chateau . Parking v convenient. Nice bar and terrace . Didn’t have breakfast as v pricey - plenty of options in the town at half the price. Would return"
