"This hotel is very centrally located, just a 2-minute-walk to the pedestrian zone and main shopping area in Bielefeld as well as on to the main museum Kunsthalle and several churches from the 16th and 17th century. The hotel is almost adjacent to the city's music theater, close to great dining options and only a 20 minute walk (uphill) to the medieval fortress Sparrenburg which is absolutely worth a visit and offers great views over Bielefeld and its surroundings. "

"While I realize the property is still under restoration, it would have been best to put effort into getting the lift functional (I have mobility issues and stairs are a difficult task). Staff was amazing to non-German speaking guests. 😃"

"The receptionist, Yvonne, was the best I have ever encountered. She was bending over backwards to help, and as I witnessed, not just to me and my disabled wife, but to every guest who came in. "The hotels we usually go to in Bielefeld (Amedia Express, Weitblick) were booked out and we tried this hotel. We were somewhat disappointed by the hotel given the positive reviews: -The building and room are a bit dated. The mattress and bed frame were not very solid. -There was a lingering smell similar to electric burning in the room. -WiFi was unreliable and did not always work. -There was no staff at check-in (on a Sunday afternoon). The location is fine. There is plenty of free parking and it is a reasonable budget hotel, just not what we expected."
