Perfect for our stay at Volcano, thank you for upgrading us to a king room, it was comfortable, spacious and quiet. The contactless check in was easy, just pick up and envelope from the lobby with your room key and instructions. The help yourself towels, coffees and toiletries was a very nice touch. Overall we were delighted with our stay in Volcano and wouldnt hesitate to recommend.

Nice big room. A bit eclectic i, but very clean and comfortable. Although there is no A/C it was cool enough at night that it wasn't necessary as long as there was a fan blowing. Still, It felt quite humid and towels, etc did not dry out. It was very nice to have a good coffee maker, refrigerator/freezer, and microwave, plus a couple place settings with metal utensils. Everything seemed relatively recently updated. The bathroom was nice and big. Overall a great experience and would be happy to stay here again.

You have to stay in room 101! The cool shower and decor, and the absolute privacy was the best. I cannot recommend this place enough.

A visual treat on our journey around the Big Island. We loved Room 104! Huge dining table/island, double sinks and double showers in the bathroom, ample supplies. Only suggestion is to have more dinner plates and utensils. Beautiful grounds with koi pond, waterfalls. Quick drive to Volcano and Village. A must when visiting Volcano. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

The property was clean and well maintained. I really enjoyed the architecture of the rooms, somewhat unique. Although there was no one on duty, there’s ample access to towels, toiletries, etc. conveniently located close to volcano national Park. Can’t beat this place for the price!

This was such an amazing property! I loved the uniqueness; the space- with the separation of the 2 beds; the dehumidifiers; the "fireplace" heater; the huge shower-- they even had a showerstool for me to borrow which was handy due to a bad leg; the kitchenette had everything I needed! Mahalo! I'll be staying there again!!

A nice, quiet property that is convenient for visiting the Volcanoes National Park. If that is your main itinerary, which it is for a lot of Big Island visitors, then this is your place to stay. You’ll love the room decor, the hands off approach of staff, and the quiet grounds. If you want a hotel that is close to civilization and amenities, you’d want to stay in Hilo or close to either airport on the island. We loved the tranquility, and planned our days around getting to the Park and major areas and back before things closed.

Quirky and cozy

Our room (101) was comfortable and quirky — made you feel like you were in a cozy cave. Can’t speak to the other rooms, but our place was huge, and the hotel’s location in Volcano provides easy access to the park and nearby restaurants (there aren’t many). Would definitely stay there again. The virtual check-in worked fine.
