It was wonderful being so close to Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park, to get up and out for early morning hikes. (Also near a great food truck, Tuk Tuk Thai.) This rental was spacious, with a sleeping area, sitting area, kitchen, and regular bath. The kitchen had everything you could need. Some distinctive artistic decor, in keeping with the Volcano Village art scene. We were a little early for check-in and came back after the hostess hooked up a new propane tank, which we appreciated since the weather was cold and wet. She was very responsive to questions about recycling, which was helpful since the Big Island doesn't recycle much.
