"The room was clean, the amenities were useful, and most of the staff were very helpful and courteous. Unfortunately, one incident significantly detracted from our stay. When ordering room service, we were required to pay upon delivery. When the kitchen staff member brought our food and requested payment, I explained that I needed to retrieve my credit card from my wallet, which was on the bedside table. My wife had just showered and was sitting on the bed in her undergarments. I asked the staff member to wait while I retrieved my wallet. As I turned and walked toward the bedside table, the staff member proceeded to follow me into the room without being invited. My wife was understandably shocked and extremely disturbed to suddenly find a stranger inside our room while she was partially undressed. I immediately paid him and dismissed him from the room. Regardless of the circumstances, entering a guest’s room without invitation - particularly after being explicitly asked to wait - is completely unacceptable and represents a serious lapse in privacy and professional judgment. We otherwise had a positive experience with the hotel, but this incident was deeply uncomfortable and should be addressed by management."

"Lovely hotel, very luxurious. Booked 2 adults and child 9 years. Unfortunately hotel did not get child age and set up a cot. Did change this quickly. Enquired about spa and pool, disappointed with the €12.50 charge but well worth it. Disappointing about taking children in pool is only mornings, had hope to swim on arrival but unable to do this with my son. I had check pool use with hotel before booking. Had I known I wouldn’t have booked this hotel as very over priced for room only and no swimming access. Breakfast was nice, but not worth €26.50 euros each. Just very disappointed"

"Lovely stay at the hotel. The only issue we had was that the child menu that we ordered for dinner had run out but we were only told close to an hour later after ordering it (which in itself is quite a wait for food). Surely at the time of order, you know what food is available. The rest of the stay was fabulous, the room was great the swimming pool and spa facilities were excellent. Would definitely stay again."

"Budget hotel currently undergoing a refurb as it desperately needs one! Check in is next door at the Campanile, and was dealt with efficiently. Rooms were clean but very, very tired. As workers were refurbing one floor the stairs and landings were dirty. Restaurant at the Campanile was good but closes early."
