"We have been to Château Amade many times and it is a always a wonderful oasis to relax the body and mind, and recover and revive your energy and soul. The F&B and spa staff are always exceptional, with great food featuring local produce and specialties, and great spa treatments from talented masseurs. "Smart looking hotel in former convent, in Spain/Portugal this would be a Parador/Pousada but it might need a bit of spruce to get up to 5 stars. Atmospheric place and a comfortable stay. Staff were helpful, location is bang in the centre next to the river, about 10 mins from the rail station."
