The room was clean, nice amenities and the refrigerator was stocked with treats for no charge. We loved the buffet breakfast with many options and fresh foods. The hotel location was great and within a short walking distance to Petra entrance. With many restaurants around. Staff was helpful and friendly.

Staff at front desk and restaurant are very friendly and helpful. Had a tire that started losing pressure, the front desk manager checked us in quickly and find a assistant to take us to a nearby mechanics shop to fix the problem caused by a sharp nail quickly 👍The location of the hotel is just perfect, 5 minutes walk to the front gate of Petra, with plenty of restaurants nearby!

this hotel was very conveniently placed by the bus stop and the visitor center, so it was easy to walk. We had dinner at my mom‘s recipe, which was very close by. the staff was able to arrange a bus directly to wadi rum for us. Thank you for a great stay.

Amazing

We had an amazing stay at Edom Hotel. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The free breakfast was an added bonus with really good cappuccinos on request. All of the staff were super friendly and the hotel is very close to the Petra Visitor's Center and park entrance.

Great budget hotel close to Petra access gate

Amazing location, friendly and helpful staff, a good choice for your Petra experience. At a walking distance to the main gate to Petra, the hotel is located a little off a street with plenty of restaurants. The staff is really friendly and helpful, they can also support your purchase of Petra by night tickets. The only down points the paper thin walls and the breakfast which could be enriched with a few seasonal fruits for example

The Edom Hotel is the absolute perfect choice for any Petra visit! Its superb location means you're just a short walking distance from the entrance to the ancient city, maximizing your sightseeing time. Beyond convenience, the hotel offers beautiful views of the rugged Jordanian landscape, making every sunset special. Our stay was exceptionally comfortable, thanks to the good rooms—clean, spacious, and perfect for resting. Post-hike recovery is mandatory, and the lovely outdoor swimming pool is a welcome, refreshing sight after a long day of exploring. The real showstopper is the unique original cave breakfast. Dining inside a genuine, ancient cave environment is a truly unforgettable way to start your day. The food is excellent, but the service is what elevates it. We must give a massive shout-out to Emad, the breakfast manager. He embodies genuine hospitality; he goes all out in service, ensuring every guest is looked after well. Emad’s personalized attention and genuine care made the dining experience feel incredibly special. For a combination of top location, great amenities, a unique experience, and five-star service (especially from Emad!), the Edom Hotel is unbeatable. Highly recommended!

We had travelled to Cairo, Luxor, and Jerusalem and this was a quick stop. Thank goodness we added another night. This hotel made the whole trip worthwhile. The service of Emad and his staff was beyond wonderful. He made us feel at home. Breakfast was delicious with the mixed vegetables and cheese omelette. Great combo. At dinner, the food was a variety of Jordanian dishes which gave you the opportunity of trying their cuisine. Again delicious. The hotel is clean, well located for being steps from Petra Visitor Center. The A/C was great. There is so much to praise this hotel. We would definitely and highly recommend Edom hotel. Great place to stay and just relax . Thank you for your hospitality!

The hotel’s location is excellent—just a short walk from the Petra Visitor Center, which was very convenient. Unfortunately, the overall experience didn’t meet expectations. The hotel feels quite outdated. The room had a few issues: the shower did not have warm/hot water, and the TV didn’t work. Breakfast was included, but it was disappointing. The orange juice tasted medicinal, and the rest of the food was bland and did not taste fresh. That said, the staff were truly the highlight of the stay—very kind, welcoming, and helpful throughout. With some renovations and improvements to the food and amenities, this place could be a much better option for travelers.

Worst bathroom EVERRR

The view from the hotel great. The staff were friendly and always willing to help. However, the condition of the room was not good. Upon check-in, I saw one of the bedsheets was dirty, so had to request to have it changed. The bathroom was in extremely poor condition. The hot water was not working properly, the shower wouldn't drain, the toilet seat was broken. The room and bathroom needs renovations badly!

We really enjoyed our stay at Edom Hotel. It is very conveniently located by the entrance to Petra so you can walk there in 5 minutes. There are plenty of dining and shopping options nearby and we really appreciated the takeaway breakfast which meant we could get to Petra for it opening. The hotel was very clean and well appointed with friendly staff.
