Had a wonderful stay at Moon Light camp. Stayed for one night but it was a great experience! The hospitality from the hosts with plenty of tea, bonfire, singing, dancing, and not to forget the amazing homecooked dinner! The service from my guide was outstanding with an amazing 3 hour tour in the desert. Afterwards he helped me kickstart my dead car battery, so I could continue my trip 10/10!
The room and WiFi was okay taken into consideration that it’s in the middle of the dessert.

Disappointed in the desert
We were soooo excited to come to Wadi Rum. We met Audi, the owner when we were dropped off in town and he was nice. However, we went on to have our mediocre tour (our guide was very nice!) and after we were brought back to a camp that wasn’t at all what was advertised and we were literally the only ones staying there. On the map it appeared to be in a whole other area far from Moonlight camp, and is called the “Milky Way Nights camp” which is advertised at a quarter of the price. It was advertised as a “Luxury B&B within walking distance of Lawrence's Spring.” It was not. We actually drove past where the it was supposed to be when we left, it was 15 min drive from where we stayed and we had cell service in that area, not to mention it would have been a short walk to the town. On top of that, there was no covered patio with chairs to sit in (what we were most looking forward to and was shown in ALL the pictures), one bar of WiFi if you’re lucky, one of our windows didn’t close, & we had rock hard pillows. The only good thing was the dinner, where the owner eventually showed up and some of his friends. We knew we had been cheated very quickly, but we had barely any WiFi to contact anyone, and they left us with one guy at the camp that didn’t even speak English, so we couldn’t even communicate with him. We were trapped in the desert, with no where to go, nothing in walking distance. This made us feel not only cheated, but unsafe and vulnerable. Be aware of any future scams here!
My sister and I stayed here back in early May. We had a great stay! Our hosts were welcoming and provided very delicious meals. We would definitely stay here again!
We had a wonderful time here! Audi and his brothers were very hospitable and seemed to take great pride in this place, whenever we saw them they were always smiling offering a cup of their amazing tea. The Breakfast lunch and Dinner was incredible, and every night there was a fire and great fun to be had with the other guests, Highly Recommend and would gladly return!
They treat you like a family. It's a nice and quite camp with friendly staff who make sure you have a good time and enjoy the Bedoun hospitality. Love it! Will be back!!
We were made to feel very welcome and experience traditional Bedouin hospitality in the desert. Accommodation was above and beyond expectations - very comfortable beds, ensuite bathroom with powerful and hot shower. Tranquil and mesmerising view from private patio area with swing chair. Arrangement of 4WD tour and camel ride at sunset was done seamlessly. Family run team looked after us very well. Thank you. We’ll remember our stay forever.
Everything went very well. Before arriving Audi, the owner, suggested a safari tour of Wadi Rum and it was actually his brother who drove us around to some 8 sights + a couple extra and we finished with a sunset stop at a secluded mountain. There-after to the camp. New tents/cottages, where a shower felt good. Dinner at the camp was simple, local and very tasting, Finally stargazing in the still desert camp --An excellent experience that can only be recommended

Wadi Rum maintains its place among the very top on the list of highlights in a country full of highlights. The vast dessert wilderness is overwhelming, a sublime location that allows a person to feel infinitely small in the grand scheme of things, and yet allows the opportunity to experience a sense of peace that often escapes us.There are many camps in Wadi Rum, some more commercial than others, but I can't truly think of anyone that would have shown more hospitality than Odeh of Moon Light Camp.A Newly built site, the location is run and managed by him and his brothers. Moon light camp offers the opportunity to escape all the worries of the world and as its name suggest, experience the Arabian night sky under complete silence. They are from the nearby Wadi Rum village, and they bring their entire life's experience and share their Bedouin culture. There is a certain sense of familiarity with them, as if you're with lost friends meeting after a long time. Arriving at the village,Salem picked us up without any issues and the mentioned time.Once we were there, everything that we needed was at our disposable. We were greeted with Jordanian tea, and experienced a Bedouin dinner before participating in a dance with our new friends. The following day, Odeh arranged Abdullah,a driver who took us to see the sunrise and the many points of interest across the desert, giving us ample time to enjoy each location.Wadi Rum should be experienced, and doing so with Moon Light Camp is a plus.
