I like that this property is so close to the beach and shopping area. The gym and laundry facilities located on the same floor was convenient. I was able to work out while waiting for the laundry to be done. The manager’s reception with live music and the breakfast with miso soup daily sweet fresh pineapple were really enjoyable. We went to this hotel because another couple was sharing a room, and that is the only hotel with two king-size beds. There was a lovely gift basket in the room with flip-flops, two water bottles, some snacks and some sanitizing wipes. The restaurant at the hotel was amazing! It is an old hotel, but all the facilities were clean and pleasant. The hotel swimming pool facilities were good, and Waikiki Beach was also visible from the accommodation. The best thing was the accessibility. It was convenient to walk to Waikiki Beach, close to the shopping center, and take a shuttle to cultural facilities nearby.

My ocean view room was the perfect stay for mine & my families visit to Waikīkī. We added the breakfast option which was perfect and saved us some coins as food in the area can get pricey. I loved my holidays, the hotel very well located, very comfortable, everything very close to shops, food, the mall, the beach woow super accessible, and the room with everything necessary I felt like I was in my house and have equipment for the Beach. The only thing that is super bad is that the covers of the beds were dirty and the pillows had a bad smell for not washing them maybe and the supervisor or owner does not know what his position is but it is really very very rude.

The staff was amazing and the best part of the hotel. As usual with Double tree, the beds were really comfortable. It was very centrally located to shops, restaurants and the beach (all about a 5 minute walk). For the price I would absoultely recommend this hotel and would stay again.

The room was clean and spacious, as was the bathroom. The hotel staff were professional, courteous, and welcoming. The breakfast buffet was the best hotel breakfast I have had in years, with rotating options, an omelet bar, and fresh cut pineapple. It was an all around 5 star stay.

The Residence Inn Oahu Kapolei is an excellent choice if you are looking for a great place to stay that is not on the water. The facility is clean and well maintained and the staff is outstanding! My family of 7 ( 5 adults, 2 children 5 & 6) stayed at Aulani in November. As we arrived we were greeted outside and we all received leis. We had a 2 bedroom villa. It was so roomy, plenty of room for the 7 of us. Do not upgrade to an ocean view cause I believe all 2 bedroom villas are ocean view. Lots of fun water activities for families. Beach and wonderful lagoon for ocean swimming, snorkeling and paddle boarding. Service is excellent. Pretty good restaurant options onsite. Only weak spot was the room, which was ok for a high quality resort. Also they don't have daily room cleaning service, only a "light" clean every other day, which is annoying.
