Holiday home close to the Robertville lake

At the foot of the High Fens lies this authentic holiday home. The old farmhouse has been completely renovated with a good eye for originality, eco-friendliness and comfort. The home is perfect for many families and features a sauna and jacuzzi, so that guests can relax and rejuvenate. In summers, the jacuzzi temperature is maintained at 34 degrees and does not work with electricity but with pellets.

You can go for long walks or hikes in the surrounding area. The beautiful surroundings are full of great hiking trails. A castle can be found nearby, and Lake Robertville is definitely a must-see too. The nearby town of Malmedy offers entertainment for young and old.

In one of the bedrooms everything is made of wood, even the sink is hidden in a wooden built-in cupboard. From the bathroom, if you're lucky, you can admire a bird's nest under the edge of the roof. And outside, the courtyard with playground equipment or the large volleyball court offer space for everyone. And as if that wasn't enough, you will find a wonderful authentic oven under a roof in the courtyard. Ideal for baking your own pizzas in it. Being a child friendly property, trampoline, boules court, cot and high chair are also available. Max. 1 pet is allowed for a small fee on this property. Or who will discover the unique fire corner? The owner will be happy to show you all the hidden treasures of this holiday home.

A few metres away from the main house is a small outbuilding. Two to four people can sleep here. The environmentally friendly concept goes even further here with a 'dry' toilet and a 'pure nature' rain shower.

Als wir zur vereinbarten Uhrzeit ankamen hatten wir Glück, dass die Reinigungskraft noch da war und wir so schon ins Haus konnten, denn die Schlüsselübergabe fand erst 1,5h später statt. Das Haus ist verwinkelt und besteht aus vielen kleinen Räumen was die Reinigung schwierig gestaltet. Es ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen aber hat Charme. Die Kinder haben die ganzen kleinen Ecken geliebt und waren die ganze Zeit am Spielen. Am Ende kam jedoch noch einmal eine saftige Nachzahlung für die Heizkosten (Pellets) von ca. 130€ (wir waren 2 Nächte dort und konnten die Heizung nicht regulieren). Wifi gibt es auch nur in einem Raum. Meine Lessons Learned ist die Preise im Vorfeld noch einmal zu verifizieren, in Summe finde ich es zu teuer für das was geboten wird.

Het verblijf op zich was zeker in orde. Proper, veel ruimte, leuke omgeving,... Enkele kleine kanttekeningen: 1) je kan er verblijven met veel volk, maar er is in de keuken relatief gezien weinig materiaal voor handen. Beperkte couverts, ovenschalen,... 2) Het zwembad/jacuzzi is 2-in-1. De jacuzzi is echter koud en het zwembad zou de mogelijkheid moeten bieden dat je kan zwemmen door middel van een jet in het zwembad, maar deze geeft te weinig tegenstroom om te kunnen zwemmen. Wel leuk om te spelen met de kids uiteraard! 3) Geen huis voor grote mensen. Lage deuren en plafonds. Meermaals mijn hoofd gestoten... 4) Last but nog least: de energiefactuur achteraf. Mooie zonnepanelen op de villa, maar ze worden blijkbaar niet ten volle gebruikt? We hebben achteraf nog meer dan €400 (!!!) moeten betalen voor een lang weekend van 4 nachten met 6 volwassenen en 5 kleine kinderen. Overdreven veel dus, volgens mij omdat ze het zwembad verwarmen (maar niet voldoende want het was koud) op pellets ipv met de zonnepanelen.

Großartig!

Ein unfassbar charmantes Haus, weit weg vom Trubel. Wir haben das Grundstück, Whirlpool, Sauna, Pizzaofen und co sehr genossen und kommen gerne wieder. Die Nebenkosten sind relativ hoch, allerdings werden die ja auch überall angekündigt. Der Kontakt vor Ort war sehr nett und bemüht. Uns wurde das Haus sehr genau gezeigt.

Agréable mais mauvaise surprise au niveau du prix

Le gîte est très spacieux, bien aménagé et original. La zone piscine, mur d'escalade et sauna est clairement un plus. Il manque cependant une grande pièce pour se réunir autrement qu'autour de la table de repas. Mais les coûts énergétiques sont prohibitifs. Au prix de la location convenu, il nous a été facturé un surcoût de pratiquement 50% pour l'énergie, essentiellement le chauffage. Pourtant nous avons fait très attention. Et alors qu'on nous facture des frais de nettoyage importants, nous faire payer un sac poubelle et son évacuation est vraiment exagéré. Certes, il était clair dès le début que la consommation énergétique serait facturée, et les coûts unitaires annoncés. Mais comment savoir que le bâtiment consommait autant ? C'est vraiment dommage, car l'endroit est agréable, mais nous avons vraiment l'impression d'avoir été trompés.

Aankomst ging prima! Deur was open, en op de deur telefoonnummer van beheerder. Mooie omgeving! Huis heeft wat achterstallig onderhoud. Bij problemen komt de beheerder zeer snel. We hadden voor de eerste paar dagen boodschappen bij ons, dat was fijn. Er zijn geen ovenschalen daar hadden wij geen rekening mee gehouden en hadden ook geen folie of bakpapier bij ons. Zwembad was fijn en Sauna ook! In Gasthuis geen bereik met internet. We hadden geen rekening gehouden met andere stekkers. Denk hier aan want het huisje heeft geen wereldstekkers liggen. Eindafrekening vonden we meevallen na alle reviews gelezen te hebben. We kijken terug op een heerlijke vakantie!

We hebben ons uitstekend vermaakt ondanks de regen. Een paar kleine dingetjes werkten niet zoals de kraan en het slot van het toilette beneden. De energiekosten na afloop waren buitensporig te noemen. Bijna € 250,- voor een weekje terwijl we niet aan de thermostaat waren geweest en geen hout hadden gestookt.... heb het gevoel dat ze ons hier vreselijk hebben afgezet!!!

Zeer vlotte en aangename ontvangst, ondanks onze vele vragen zeer soepel verlopen. Het is een prachtige locatie met veel comfort en mogelijkheden, de prijs is het zeker waard. De kamers zijn goed en de hygiëne is in orde. Het enige minpunt is zwakke watervoorziening voor de douches, de druk is te laag maar dit heeft onze pret niet kunnen bederven.

Aankomst ging goed. Mooie accommodatie en de omgeving is heel mooi. In de omschrijving staat dat en een toilet in het gastenverblijf is, maar dat is niet zo. Erg jammer want nu moest er voor het toilet steeds naar het huis gelopen worden ook s'nachts. In het huis waren maar 3 toiletten dus niet heel veel als je met 12 personen bent. Pijs van het huisje is niet heel duur, maar er komen wel veel kosten bij en een zeer hoge borg die betaald moest worden. (zelf voor in de zomer komt er een grote kostenpost bij voor elektra)

De omgeving viel goed mee, dicht bij Malmedy en toch veel natuur. Enkele historische bezienswaardigheden waren dichtbij zoals ook enkele meren (Robertville Budghenbach). Het huisje op zich viel goed mee, buiten de vele vliegen en de toch erg hoge energiefactuur achteraf (meer dan 350euro voor een week in de zomer!!! Om enkel het warme zwembad -lees grote whirlpool- te verwarmen).

Bij aankomst werd er verteld dat de douche op de eerste verdieping lekt en dat we die niet konden gebruiken. Ondanks dat wij die douche niet hebben gebruikt bleef het heel de week lekken. Het lekte door naar de geheime kamer dus we konden ook daar geen gebruik van maken. Het zwembad en de klimmuur waren erg leuk voor de kinderen. De pizza oven in de tuin was een toppertje. Iedere kamer heeft een eigen thema, erg leuk. De kinderen hebben zich prima vermaakt in de tuin en het zwembad. De omgeving is heel mooi om te wandelen. Plopsa coo is op een half uurtje rijden en een aanrader voor kinderen tot een jaar of 10. Al met al een lekkere week gehad.
