"Utterly stunning location, and very friendly, generous host. The amazing gardens, and then walking down to the bay and seeing all the birds. Just heavenly.The house was spotless. Not a speck of dust. We'd all come back in a heartbeat, but I'm not sure I'd bring children. The house was full of fragile knick-knacks and I'd be afraid some might be broken. The bathroom situation is not ideal for kids either. The upstairs loo where the children's bedroom room is was through the other bedroom and fully open to it. The downstairs loo had doors opening on both ends. Otherwise I can't fault the house - it and the location were gorgeous. "

"We started our NZ vacation here after landing in Christchurch and it was the perfect start. The pub served wonderful appetizers and desserts. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the bay--great for settling in and relaxation. The pool was cooler than I hoped. Breakfast is self-serve with limited but thoughtful options. Sharing facilities wasn't a problem, but there weren't many other guests during our stay. Staff was warmly welcoming and very accommodating. "

"Huge apartment, very tidy and super comfortable. Amazing spot, right across the road from the harbour. Outdoor space a rwql added bonus. Excellent views and shops, cafes etc just steps away. Lovely staff at check in / check out. Yummy ice cream also in reception area. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. "
