"I booked for our extended family. With 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and 4 toilets it was realky good for us. It was a very chilly night on arrival but with lots of firewood, a heat pump and electric blankets on the beds, the house was soon toasty warm. Fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds its was a perfect place. Good cominication from the host rounded off a perfect stay."

"This is a magical spot in Penny's incredible gardens! Even on soggy winter days, we enjoyed wandering the property, and the fire kept us toasty warm in the cottage. Our family enjoyed the thoughtful touches, tea/coffee and basics for cooking (oil, condiments). We loved having so much space to stretch out, and the comfy beds. The shower was unfortunately a piddle, extremely unsatisfying and took ages ages to rinse off. The place could have used a bit more of a thorough clean (especially bathroom and the drawers/floors in the bedrooms), but overall, it was fantastic value, warm and inviting, and a peaceful escape. We enjoyed talking to Penny, and reading about the history of the property. Hopefully we'll be back!"

"We stayed here for 7 weeks with our 3 children and cat whilst our home was being renovated. The host is lovely, the house is nice and warm, i would imagine this house would be awesome for a holiday, especially during summer with BBQ and furniture on deck. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay."

"Spacious room with comfortable bed comfortable chairs and sofa. Sparkling bathroom with good towels. Decor dated and a bit dark and gloomy but still a clean, comfortable place to stay. Television very small."
