"We had an excellent stay the first week of November. The house was extremely clean and stocked very well. When I mean stocked I mean it had shampoo, conditioner, soap, toilet paper, lotion, Q-tips, dental floss, makeup remover pads in the bathrooms. The laundry room had everything you need to do laundry, laundry detergent and softener that lasted us the whole week. The kitchen had dishwashing soap, dishwasher soap, all of the necessary appliances. When we arrived, there was a bottle of wine waiting for us. The views of the ocean were outstanding and we enjoyed the golf cart rides to see nature. We’ve never seen a white squirrel before until we visited Bald Point State Park. Our first night we had four Whitetail deer in our backyard. Once the sun came out and the weather warmed up. We were able to enjoy the paddleboard in the ocean with the dolphins! We were lucky to meet the owner while out riding in the gulf cart! Very nice man! My husband enjoyed playing gulf at the Wakulla Sand Gulf club. This house has a shed full of toys: 4 bikes, beach chairs and beach toys, life jackets for kayaking in the ocean, and a fire pit for roast marshmallows! There is no need to leave the house once you get here!"
Relax on a Beautiful River in a Natural Florida Setting
10/10 Excellent
"We had a wonderful time on the St. Marks River. Watching the wildlife was incredible. We loved watching all of the birds, sitting on the dock and relaxing on the screened porch. My only advice for future visitors would be to bring plenty of bug spray. The mosquitoes are quite vicious. We came for the Creature Cruise (Creature from the Black Lagoon) Boat tour at Wakkulla and this was the perfect place to stay. We highly recommend the Taco Truck down the street! Yum. The visitor guide provided by the host was really comprehensive and very humorous. Thank you for a lovely stay."
"It was a nice diversion from a traditional hotel experience.
The staff was great in every interaction we had with them. Front desk, dining room staff, housekeeping, maintenance staff. No exceptions - they were all friendly, considerate and helpful.
The room was comfortable - warning: no TV, no microwave, no refrigerator. The AC minimum was set to 69. The dining room had great food - warning: don't get the vegetable medley.
The boat tour was enjoyable and surprisingly affordable. There were rental bikes, but not a lot of area to ride unless you want to pedal in wooded trails.
Close proximity to Tallahassee and St. Mark's refuge.
Overall it was a nice, out of the ordinary experience."
Hideaway Beach Cottage on waterfront with amazing views.
10/10 Excellent
"If you are thinking of booking this home I would definitely recommend it. IF you have never been to the "forgotten coast" of Florida it is an experience like no other. You have the beautiful weather and scenery and water but without any of the traffic. there was literally no one in town or on any of the roads. We went to the beach and we were the only people on the beach, it was like our own private beach. The home is very cozy and has everything you need. You are not going to spend much time inside anyway. I contacted the host Agnes the day before checking in and she responded within 2 minutes. We had no problems at all and everything in the home is as the pictures represent. The view on the river is amazing and there are many great places to go. If you are looking to get away and have total relaxation this is the place to go. IF you are looking to go out to do more tourist type things like mini golf, restuarants, and so on then this is not your place to visit. We took this vacation to get a rest from running our business. It was several days of total paradise and peace. If you are looking for the most peaceful relaxing vacation ever then book this place."
BEACH FRONT to BAY with boatdock, swimming pool, pickleball courts and kayaks.

"Great spot to get away, you beach it or fish!! Great dock for fishing, beach was 50 yards away. Great host, especially during hurricane. Nothing negative."
