Unbelievable experience!! Loved everything about this castle… if you want to stay in a 750+ year old castle with unbelievable staff, stay here! Restaurant was great, food amazing… Ano (not sure if I spelled it right) and his wife (and staff) were unbelievably accommodating. Highly recommend staying here! Definitely worth the trip and money… can’t wait to come back!

Lovely, eclectic hotel with very nice rooms, cozy bedding, and a delicious breakfast. Definitely has German charm and a quaint, local feel compared to some of the bigger franchised hotels. The staff was also extremely nice and accommodating.

Nice staff and you feel welcome. Breakfast is amazing, but extra pay. Rooms are Nordic in decorating and very clean.

We really loved the room. The town is in a scenic location and was very beautiful and quiet. Everything was very clean and well maintained. The beds we comfortable and the room was spacious. Check in was easy with the key box and the staff was very welcoming. The breakfast was good but more expensive than anticipated. We didn’t realize it was not included in our reservation. Would definitely stay again.

Wonderful staff and quiet property nestled in the countryside. Minimal Wi-fi connectivity and on-site options, at least during the winter months, make this a bit more of a limited offering at that time.

A bit rustic in character, but spotlessly clean, quiet, and the proprietress is lovely and accommodating.

This place is AMAZING! It has all the amenities you could want and the golf course is absolutely gorgeous! The staff is the BEST. They are very attentive and go the extra mile to make sure you are comfortable. They even sang happy birthday to my wife and setup and private breakfast for her on the morning of her birthday. We felt like royalty staying there. I highly recommend staying here if you have the opportunity.

Magical stay in a beautiful castle! I ate the best meal I have ever had in the restaurant and the breakfast buffet was extensive and tasty! My husband said he had the best eggs! It was just a lovey stay, but book a taxi ahead of time as it’s difficult to reach them if you arrive in the evening. Go into Eschwege as it is a picturesque town with a very helpful tourist center.
