The Gem in Peninsula Bay
The Space: New immaculately presented architecturally designed home with clean modern lines and a sleek industrial styled decor. Fresh and bright open plan living area with three three-panel stacker doors opening up the living space onto an expansive deck, creating a seamless indoor-outdoor flow. The North facing deck soaks up the sunshine and boasts gorgeous mountain views across the reserve.
The reserve is accessible from the property and allows you to enjoy a leisurely stroll or the endless biking trails right from your back door. The reserve’s bike track connects to you to Wanaka's extensive network of bike trails ranging from beginner to advanced. Have fun in Sticky Forest or take in the scenery with a long ride out to Lake Hawea.
The main open living area features modern comfortable furnishings with a log fire for those chilly winter nights. The house has underfloor heating as well as a large heat pump for any additional heating or cooling requirements. A separate cosy lounge that features a large 65” Smart TV that includes access to Netflix. The kitchen is stylish, functional and well equipped will high end appliances including double ovens and two dishwashers. If wanting to listen to some music whilst relaxing in the living area then use the installed sound system.
A large master bedroom with walk-in wardrobe and luxurious ensuite that boasts a rain shower and stand-alone bath. One other bedroom has its own ensuite whilst the remaining two bedrooms share their own bathroom. All bathrooms have underfloor heating and heated towel rails.
A extra large double car garage provides plenty of space for ski gear and mountain bikes.

This is self-catering accommodation however for your convenience, we will get you started with a few rolls of toilet paper, hand soap, dishwashing liquid and dishwasher detergent along with a couple of tea towels, dishcloth, 2 bin liners and laundry liquid. We use only eco-friendly cleaning products. Sheets and towels are provided. We recommend you bring your own beach towels.
Interaction with Guests: Wanaka Holiday Homes office hours are Monday to Friday: 8am to 5pm and Saturday: 9am to 2pm. We are available after hours for urgent matters. You will be provided with arrival instructions one week prior to arrival. This is self catering holiday home accommodation. We provide sheets and towels but you will need to bring you own personal supplies.

There were six of us enjoying the views of the mountains and the open-air living. The trails outside the backyard led to views of Lake Wanaka and Lake Hawea. The beautifully designed house afforded perfect space for comfortable living. With our rental car we took advantage of the proximity to Wanaka, a ten minute drive, and the not too distant wineries. We took advantage of the modern kitchen as we enjoyed several meals on the spacious patio, listening to music on the Sonos system (but not after 10:00 p.m. per neighborhood requirements). The bedroom and bathroom configuration suited three couples perfectly. If we are ever lucky enough to return to Wanaka we will stay at the Gem.
Incredible property furnished with everything you could possibly ever wish for. Great quality family time was had by all. This is truly a hidden “Gem”.

A fantastic place to come back to after exploring in the region. Cozy and warm yet spacious, modern but very comfortable. Interesting outlook with mountain vistas and local activity but privacy also available at the flick of a switch. Quiet and safe-feeling neighbourhood.
"The Gem" in 3 Diamond lane is truly a jewel of a house!
Our family of seven enjoyed a magnificent 9 day-stay. The property is conveniently located close to the Sticky Forest, a gravel pathway at the rear of the house providing easy bike access. The car port/parking area is large enough for a float and two cars. The decks are spacious incl. sturdy outdoor furniture. The house itself is beautifully designed, with exceptionally high ceilings providing head-space. All the amenities you could wish for are present, incl. sensor lights, self-closing toilet covers, huge glass showers, cool water dispenser in fridge, hot water tap in scullery/pantry, well assorted cutlery, media room, fire place, large windows, and of course the views of Black Peak, Minaret Ridge etc. . Wanaka township and the the Lake itself, as well as Albert Town, are a short drive away. We will definitely recommend this property and hope to be back sometime. Smita and Michael
