The Bethpage Airshow is held on Memorial Day weekend. This year was the 11th annual show with The Blue Angels as the headliners!
I was wondering at Johns Beach and enjoying amazing natural sceneries in the evening, the views of sunset were really fascinating. I clamped on a small hill near the ocean to catch its beauty.
Extensive field next to the ocean is separated by a pointless fence . At left side of fence is a board walk where people go for a scenic stroll in summer; and the other side is sand dunes covered by a huge lay of shrubs toward to the sea water.

The 9/11 “Tribute in lights” is an annual event to commemorate those who perished on that tragic day. 88 xenon lights illuminate the sky to replicate the The World Trade Center twin towers. The lights are visible for an 11 mile radius. A misconception is that these lights emanate from the two reflecting pools in ground zero. (I was guilty of this as well) but they are actually located at the top of the battery Park garage in lower Manhattan. Once again let’s never forget the thousands who lost their lives also the greater number of family and friends that they left behind.
