Kemps House is a rare find, big enough to share a special celebration with friends or family whist offering you the feel of a boutique hotel. With seven wonderfully appointed bedrooms over two floors and a magnificent open plan living/conservatory with a dining area that’s just perfect for a special occasion and a great excuse to get together with loved ones.



Outside you will find a wonderful wrap around garden with plenty of space for younger guests and four legged guests to stretch their legs. If you are staying for a long weekend, you may not venture far, however there are so many wonderful places to enjoy and explore, you may want to book a longer stay!



It is a great holiday location to enjoy the Purbeck Hill and The Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site, with its superb scenery and coastal walking. There are many family attractions to enjoy including, Monkey World, Lulworth Castle, the Bovington Tank Museum, Corfe Castle, and the Swanage Railway. The scenic Jurassic Coast is only a short drive away, where you can spend hours taking in the beautiful scenery. Lulwoth Cove & Durdle Door are two exceptional places to visit or enjoy a visit to one of the many village pubs to wine and dine.



Within approximately half an hour’s drive you can explore the county town of Dorchester with its museums, and Weymouth, or venture east to and Bournemouth, a vibrant seaside town with miles of golden sandy beaches. Whatever your reason for choosing Kemps House, you can be certain it will leave you relaxed and longing to return.

Great house, great location

This house was perfect for our family of 12 including 6 children from 2 - 18 years and 2 dogs with loads of space, super comfy beds, plenty of bathrooms and garden space. The facilities were brilliant and everyone enjoyed the pool table. Within easy reach of many beautiful Dorset beaches, forests and Monkey World, which was a great family day out.

The house is spacious although the kitchen was a little small.

The house is spacious although the kitchen was a little small. We would have appreciated an information guide for bins, location of keys etc. The bedrooms were large and we appreciated the number of bathrooms (only 1 bedroom without its own en-suite). The garden was larger than we anticipated and the children enjoyed the outside space. We had a sunny week so we made good use of the barbecue and large outside table and benches. Indoors the pool table got a lot of use too. All in all a very good place for our extended family holiday.

We stayed for 2 nights in February so the house was cold.

We stayed for 2 nights in February so the house was cold. Quick call to the owner who promptly sent out a plumber and problem solved - Thankyou. Large house and plenty of space for multi generational family group plus 2 dogs. Great to have more than 1 downstairs bedroom and ensuite to all but 1 of the bedrooms. Garden was very muddy (as you might expect in Feb) and obviously we wiped dogs feet but would have been good to have been able to have an area closed off where they could dry also. No house name sign to be seen from the road when trying to find the house? - some guests drove past several times. Would have liked to had info on recycling for the house - if there was an instruction book for the house we couldn't find it. Shops in Wareham really close to pop out for anything we had forgot or needed. Day trip to Studland Bay via Corfe Castle which we'd recommend. Durdle Door not far either. Had a lovely time.
