The host never responded to me.

I had this place booked to stay at from June to August while I participated in an internship in DC. However, the host never contacted me about how to get into this place. The day I was supposed to move in, I texted and called them multiple times, and they never responded. Vrbo also tried to contact them, and they wouldn’t respond to Vrbo either. I ended up having to cancel my stay at this place and scramble to find somewhere else to live at for the duration of my internship. Luckily, Vrbo was helpful with the reimbursement process. But it was an awful experience having to find another place to stay at while walking around DC. Especially because I had all my stuff packed in my car and was only able to find a place to stay at that began the following day. I think it’s possible that this place is no longer available to stay at, and the host forgot to take it off of Vrbo.
