Motel 6 Anchorage, AK - Midtown

"The hotel was ok. It was clean enough, very basic, no hair dryers in the washroom, I had to ask for Shampoo and they didn't have conditioner. The room was somewhat warm but appeared to be clean. The hotel has no amenities, not even much of a lobby to speak of. We used the hotel shuttle service and were very happy with it. The wifi bogged down during peek times and he had to teather off our phone. I normally don't stay at 2* hotels, and this is my first Motel 6 stay. We booked this property because availability was low and prices were extremely high in Anchorage on the night before a cruise disembarkation. I tried to ground my review in the reality of what I should expect from the property. Overall it was a poor stay compared to most hotels I stay at, but I didn't pay for a 3-4 star hotel, so I suppose we were satisfied."
Puffin Inn of Anchorage

"Rooms were basic, but very clean. The lobby is very plain & there was a sign posted that they are upgrading/ redecorating Puffin Inn- not sure what that means. There were several small tables in the lobby, so the 4 of us were able to play card games. Staff was very helpful & pleasant. Location was great, & we even took a city bus ($1 pp each way for senior rate) to downtown Anchorage. The bus stop was directly across the street from Puffin Inn. We would stay again!"

"The hotel was just as it was 10 years ago. This is good unless you prefer updated rooms. We had no problems. They were very accommodating getting us to Trail Ridge for our fly out."

"Nice, clean hotel just a few minutes from the airport and fun watching the seaplanes come in. No issues with our stay of 4 days and was good to have staff at the desk for our late arrival."
