Tucked away in a forested neighborhood where flora and fauna abound, you'll find The Alaska Hazel House. Here is your jumping off point to open skies, room to explore the many lakes, streams, rivers, glaciers, Auroras (northern lights), hiking trails, and wildlife viewing opportunities. When you've done all things Alaskan and need to wind down, this is the perfect place. Forget your worries in this spacious and serene space. Enjoy all things Alaskan and then stretch out and unwind in comfort and style. If you’re not quite ready for the indoors, enjoy a cozy fire on the expansive yet private property.

Snow machine, ATV trails, and a stocked lake with public access are just around the corner!

View the occasional dog team mushing by from a safe and respectful distance.


We value our furry family members, and yours. There will be animal sounds, sights, smells, and activities. Due to farm animals and livestock on the property or nearby, neighboring dog sled teams, and frequent wildlife visitors, always supervise children, keep your pets leashed, and clean up after their potty breaks. Pets must not be left at the property alone. Pet fee is $20/pet/night. Early check-in or late checkout will incur a $50 fee for each occurrence and must be arranged 48 hours in advance. Wash, dry, fold service available for $25

Please do not pet or feed the horses without permission and presence of the owner.

Please, no cleaning or gutting fish at the property due to wildlife.

Excellent property!! Beautifully decorated easy to check in. Quiet and very comfortable. Will definitely stay again. Felt like a home away from home. Very pet friendly and had some extra pet things i didnt expect but appreciated like a dog bed, pet dishes and little doggie treats. Horses were wonderful to watch. Guest comment book is a very nice touch for fellow travelers with local recommendations. Smart tv that you log into your own apps to stream and logs you out at checkout. Appreciated the cozy couch blankets to curl up in to watch tv. Thank you so much we loved it. We will be back when we travel this way again.

The house is literally perfect. I cannot think anything negative to say about it, the hosts have done a greattttt job, thinking above and beyond about the guests. Would definitely love to stay again if I come back here.
