Once Upon A Pond

We loved Jewett Pond retreat. We stayed during the last week of July. The pond was delicious. It has a sandy bottom and warm water in the shallows. It does get cooler in the deep water. Using the canoe that was available was a bonus. The view is beautiful and while we were there(weekdays) , it was very serene. There are wild blueberries growing all around the pond. There was a little noise from construction next door. The cabin was well equipped.Queen sized bed was comfy. Lots of windows and a screened in porch with table and 4 chairs. There is even a washer and dryer and detergent. The fire pit was lovely, bring wood and matches. We drove into Norway nearby for dinner at 290 Main St. very nice. Cute town with lots of artsy stores, ice cream and a big lake. Just a fun getaway! Hosts were very communicative.
