Our stay at the property was great. The cabin was perfect size and had all the amenities you would need for your stay. We had a great time having a fire, fishing on the dock, and hanging out on the porch.
Our week at the cabin was amazing! We arrived to a very clean cabin with complimentary wine and s'more treats and a whole list of personalized recommendations for the area. We loved that the cabin had everything we needed to enjoy our vacation and can't wait to visit again!
Wonderful property on the canal. Short drive to downtown in either direction. Close to lakes, hiking, wineries. Good communication and prompt responses. Excellent suggestions for food and activities. Highly recommend. Would stay here again.
From the moment we walked into the property we were greeted with a beautiful welcome note and wine. I would recommend this property to friends and family.
Wonderful little place ! Cozy cabin with porch, dock on peaceful canal, and fire pit. Very comfortable and well tended. The road is a little busy, but the house is just far enough off of it to be quiet. Great location between Geneva attractions and scenic countryside.
The cabin is nice cozy and clean has all the creature comforts you need a super awesome owner there is coffee stuff to make smores a screened in porch kayaks for use the dock right on the water fishing is fun bluegills gallore lol its quiet and cozy and near so many fun things to do the wife and i spent most of our time going to brewerys and winerys and did allot of cooking in using all the fresh ingrediatns available locally.
We absolutely loved our stay. The cabin is perfect (especially the screened in porch). We spent hours on the water making use of the provided kayaks (as well as our own paddle board), and were amazed at how much wildlife we saw. Every detail in the cabin was well considered - I can’t recommend it enough.
We really enjoyed our stay over the long weekend. The cabin is new and well stocked with all new items. The screened in porch was a nice way to spend the days.
We will definitely be back!
We really enjoyed the screened in porch, we were fortunate to have a full moon the weekend we were there.
Michael had a lot of tips on where to go and where to eat.
The bottle of wine was a nice welcoming touch.
Nice location to everything we wanted to do. Wonderful porch to sit and relax drink coffee. Love having kyaks to use on canal. Enjoyed the special note left from owner and special treat.
Even though the weather was uncooperative our weekend stay was wonderful. Clean, comfortable cabin with a great coffee bar. Only thing I would like to see different is hooks or pegs to hang your coat and hat on behind front door.
The cabin was outstanding. It is impeccably maintained and has a delightful view of the canal. Relaxing on the screened-in porch at night was fantastic. The central location makes it very convenient to get around. The thoughtful amenities make for a very easy stay. The owner left a very welcoming note with recommendations for great restaurants and even a suggestion for a boat ride that picks you up right at the cabin dock. We are looking forward to staying here again in the future.
Cute, cozy cabin, perfect for relaxing and un-winding. Very clean, new, well stocked and well thought through touches. On a canal, so perfect for exploring with kayaks or boat. Screened in porch was so nice for coffee time and relaxing. Minutes from Geneva, so perfect for hiking, exploring, and good food all around! Good communication with the owner, and the only down side was we needed more time to stay and enjoy!
Nice quiet area good fishing spot had everything the wife and i needed. We enjoyed the quiet did some fishing had a fire and made smores cooked some fiah over the open fire i like and enjoy cooking and i cooked alot there everything worked and was clean and easy to keep up with the crock pot was super nice to find the owners left us a hand written note with recomendations of places to go too honestly i think this place is great i will most definitly will be back when and if i can gwt the time
This is a beautiful cabin that is a newly built log home type of structure. Everything is new- appliances, cookware, tv monitors, etc. nice big dock and easy kayaking on the river. They have a keurig and smores for the fire pit. Place has a screened porch for sitting out. You could make it to lake seneca by water if you wanted to. Super place to explore Finger Lakes. Only drawback is that it is on a busy road, but it does quiet down considerably at night. Nice to have your own place v. a hotel for sure.
We wanted to celebrate our anniversary just relaxing, and this was perfect. There was fishing and kayaking right out the back door, although getting in and out of the kayak was a bit tricky but manageable. The cabin looks exactly like the photos; it is very clean and comfortable. The bathroom had toiletries in case you forget yours, with plenty of soft towels and wash cloths. The kitchen was also nicely supplied from coffee maker to pots and pans. The screen porch is just perfect, with comfortable chairs to sit and relax with the sun in the morning and moonlight in the evening, I loved listening to the nighttime sounds of the crickets and bull frogs.
There are many wineries if that is for you. Samson State Park on Seneca lake has a military museum as well as a putt-putt to enjoy. Taughannock Falls State Park is only 35 minutes away if you want to hike the gorge trail and view the waterfalls. There was also the finger lakes cider house on the way where you can sample different ciders and get a bite to eat. All in all, we would recommend a stay at Rivers Edge.
