Room was clean. Bed was comfy. Very bad breakfast. None of the appliances worked in the breakfast room including the garbage receptacle (the lid would not open). The pancake machine wouldn’t function. No bread available to make toast. Only other choice was dry cereal. No milk, No fruit or yogurt..very disappointed as we had to go out to buy some breakfast which was supposed to be included in the price of the room. Will likely not return or recommend to anyone.

Our reservation was for 4 nights and it was so bad that we checked out the next day. We did not get a refund for the remaining days. That meant we paid over $500 for our one night stay. Each room had a chair and ash tray in front of the rooms. They were smoking right outside our room while chatting with the manager. The bed was comfortable. That was only thing that was decent about this room. We were planning on doing our laundry at this facility but it was so filthy that we decided to wait. The breakfast room was dark and dingy.

Great road trip stop

This is a great and convenient motel. It was clean, comfortable and has a full kitchen. Great spot to stop on a road trip and a short drive to Manitou Beach. Recommended for road trip sleep spot.

The room was clean. Safety chain was broken off the door. Breakfast was very simple, white toast, cereal and yogurt in a small noisy(motor sound) room. When we went to check out we could find no one in reception room, rang bell, used available phone but finally just put our keys in the box and left. It was ok but we probably wouldn’t book there again.

The room was clean and the bed comfortable. But that is were it ended. When we arrived to check in @1400 the front door was locked. We knocked and no answer. They had a phone number to call. We did they arrived 10 mins later. During check in I wanted to pay with my debt card. Which the clerk took down like a credit card and was able to charge my debit card with no pin. I was not able to choose which account to take the money from. Then we got in the room the air conditioner was set at 61. It took a while for the room to heat up. On the walls was a paper wecloming guests and telling them that if the smoke you will be charged 250.00 if you stain the towels they charge you if you take anything from the room they charge you & if you need something dial 0 to speak to front desk. We tried twice to call the front desk and both time was told the mail box is full good bye. The room has a kitchenette with a king bed. But no glasses one fork 2 spoons 2 plates 2 bowls 1 small plate no bowl to mix anything or get ice in. Nothing to sweep the floor. Breakfast is included but you better be an early riser . We went @ 630 am and several days they only had 2 yogurt a few glasses of milk to go with the cereal a couple liters of juice and some bread for toast. Then went you go to leave the doors are still locked and they have a mail box to drop off your key. The box is getting pretty full. I have stayed at many Super 8 & found them great. But never anything like the Watrous Super 8.

The property is easy to access and near where we want to go. The guy at the front desk was more than helpful. He really did a good job assisting us. On the other hand, it wasn't so clean, there was a smear of poop on the side of toilet seat when we arrived. The breakfast can be improved.
