"It took much longer than normal to get checked in. The lady said it was the computer but I have no way of knowing if that was true or not. I did not get the room I reserved over a month in advance. I reserved a standard king, but was placed in a jacuzzi room which was a terrible waste of space. I barely had room between the bed and wall to move in and out. I went back to the desk and informed the lady, but she said she was running out of king rooms. That wasn't my problem since I reserved over a month in advance. I informed her she better not charge me for a jacuzzi room or I would NEVER stay in a Holiday Inn Express again. There was a large gap under the room door which was not a big deal, but it allowed more noise in than normal. The bathroom door on the inside at the bottom was held together with drywall screws. It looked worse than some Super 8's and Days Inns that I have stayed in during my more financially challenged days. The was room 128, and Holiday Inn Express should be ashamed of the condition of the bathroom door. I am on a 5 day, 4 night trip. Every night of this trip is in a Holiday Inn Express. I will definitely be looking at Hampton Inn or other nice hotels if I keep having these issues with Holiday Inn Express. Grand Island, NY and Lima, OH have been wonderful. Adrian, MI and North East, PA were very disappointing."

"I very rarely complain, I was looking forward to staying at the hotel. When we arrived it was late and the lobby, empty, was fairly dark (which I understand given the time frame), it took fairly long awhile for someone to come to the front desk. I rang the desk bell a few times until eventually someone came. I understand that the hotel is older but the rooms were filthy (more so the bathroom), just dirty. We went for breakfast in the am that was suppose to be open until nine and we arrived at 8:30 with very limited to no options (no meat, fruit, items in fridge, bagels etc) and items were being cleaned up when we arrived (cereals, milk, pancake items etc). It was all ok but I think first impression was disappoint"

"5 stars for the value. The staff was super friendly, the rooms were very quiet and nice, and there’s a convenient breakfast option in the morning. If you’re flying out, passing through, or just need a break from the toll interstate, this place is a great choice — it’s right off the ramp and the price is just right. Is it different from a $170 hotel room? Sure. The beds are a little firmer, the pillows are smaller, the bathroom is more basic, and the breakfast is good but probably not for someone expecting a gourmet hotel breakfast. The windows don’t open, so some rooms may feel a little stale, though that wasn’t the case for me. The outside of the hotel also looks a bit dated. That said, as long as you keep those things in mind, it’s a great value for the money and you’ll get a good night’s sleep. Security-wise, it’s right across from the police station, and you can even see the runway from the parking lot. I would definitely stay here again for a night without hesitation."

"Breakfast was good; fresh-ground coffee was a bonus. We had a beautiful view of the countryside & sunset from our room. The only negative was a periodic smell of natural gas laundry dryers venting back into the 3rd floor, probably due to windy weather conditions."

"I always stay at this location when I travel to Minnesota. They’ve done upgrades and the location is outstanding. I always travel with my two dogs and I never have any issues. Everybody is extremely polite. The location is convenient because it’s right off the freeway and it’s not too far from dining options."
