"Amazing room with a great view"

"I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was beyond disappointing and absolutely needs to be shared. We were incredibly excited for our trip and specifically chose this hotel because of its proximity to Times Square. Unfortunately, from the moment we walked into our room, things went downhill fast. The room was extremely hot, and the AC was not working at all. We immediately called the front desk and were told an engineer would come take a look and that we didn’t need to wait in the room. We went out for a few hours, assuming it would be resolved. When we returned, nothing had been fixed. We called again and continued to get the same vague responses. Finally, at 9:30 PM, eight hours after check-in, someone came up, only to tell us the unit couldn’t be fixed and we would need to switch rooms. We then went down to speak with the manager on duty, Heath Cliff, who told us the hotel was fully booked and there was nothing he could do until the next day. So we were expected to just deal with a 78-degree room overnight. About an hour past and at that point, we asked for at least a fan. He personally told us he would bring one up before leaving his shift. That fan never came. We called again around midnight, and another staff member sent up a different engineer about 30 minutes later. She was the only competent and helpful person we encountered. Within minutes, she acknowledged the issue and got us moved to a new room, something we had just been told was impossible."

"Air conditioning didn’t work in the room. We contacted them and waited until midnight and then went to sleep. The next day they said they would fix it while we were gone. When we came back, they said they fixed it. The following day we had a knock on the door of workers to fix it. It was never fixed."

"Clean room, maids stopped by daily to freshen up room, fast elevators, very helpful staff. We had no problem checking in bus as the day got later so did the check in line. Perfect location!"

"El hotel está muy bien ubicado, caminando a solo unos minutos de Central Park, a una calle arriba de la calle Broadway… en fin todo muy cerca para llegar a donde quieras sin problema. Las instalaciones del hotel también súper bien, en realidad todo lo calificaría excelente si no es porque solo funcionaba un solo elevador, y ahí sí que era una pérdida de tiempo porque te llevaba hasta 20 minutos de espera. Volvería a llegar sin duda, solo verificaría que funcionaran los elevadores."

"This hotel is in a wonderful location, but the rooms are horrible. I guess that’s just New York but for $350 a night you would expect a nicer room. Bed was hard, pillows small, bathroom is outdated w/ shower curtain, mismatched caulking, rusted door jamb. Way overdue for a major renovation."
