No help with refund for house with no water or electricity.
The property wasn't as modern as appeared in photos. Neither fireplace put out any real heat which was necessary when the power went out. We were told they were working on the power, so waited, didn't hear back. Then the pipes froze, no water, by now too dark to drive in blizzard like conditions (4pm). NOT good with small children in tow. Left in a.m. at first light. Cannot get any comp for day & night without water or power, and only $200 for night we didn't stay at all. Just wanted comp for 2nd & 3rd night, no cash back, but nooooo. We should have purchased trip insurance??? Really, I have never stayed anywhere that didn't comp me even for inconvenience, whether flights or hotels. Spent $1000 for one night. Oh, and I tried to change the trip 5 days before because the national weather service and ODOT suggeted not traveling due to severe weather and power outages, they wouldn't let us change to a different date. Friday, looked good so we went - Uh Saturday turned into craziness. I won't book through VACASA again!!

Amazing
All great only issue was tiles are loose in shower in the onsuite and the block windows might have a leak with the down pour we had yesterday. Couldn’t find but had a towel there was a headrest and it became soaked. Will definitely keep this located saved for the future.

Great home on the river
This house has just about everything you need to cook and it was great being right by the river. Loved how open it was too. Some animal kept getting into the garbage bin every night, but you are on the mountain….Close to various restaurants and bars as well. For the owner, the gas grill was turned on when we went to use it. Maybe double check that it’s off during the cleaning process. Note: firewood provided for only ONE night, if you need more you’ll need to go to Thriftway down the road. We were used to Bend/Sunriver rentals where they provide stacks of wood. Great house overall tho! We will book this again

Peaceful Salmon River Stay
This is a lovely modern home in a great area on the Salmon River. Its description is very accurate - it has mid-century modern touches throughout. We don't currently have a dog but it's very clearly a dog friendly house, which, as a former and future dog owner, is appreciated. The kitchen is large and very well stocked. One item I couldn't find that would have been useful would be a flat baking sheet. The location is on a residential road not too far from the town's major shopping (Thriftway) and cute/nice-looking golf course. It's also very close to the Old Salmon River Trail, a wonderful easy hike and we saw lots of salmon. The house feels private but not remote. The weather was drizzly (shocker), but it's such a beautiful place and we loved having the windows open and listening to the river and the rain. We had a fire in the fire pit overlooking the river on the last night, which really made it feel like we were on a luxury camping trip! The master bath is divine. We watched a couple of movies, which worked out great. The one real drawback was the cleanliness of the bedrooms. Vacasa was very responsive on hearing this and luckily, because we don't live far away and due to needing more blankets in past rentals, we travel with extra bedding. I think as long as that's fixed in the future, it's an excellent vacation spot.

Refreshing!
We were able to relax and refresh on our getaway to Welches! It was cold so we didn't use the patio, but we could still enjoy the beauty of the Salmon river right outside the door. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need to cook with. Bring your own foil and plastic wrap. The home is very comfortable and spacious. We appreciated the heated floor in the master bath. We enjoyed being close to the Wildwood Recreation area, restaurants, hiking, and the Oregon Resort and Spa. The only drawbacks were the memory foam mattress in the master suite felt a little lumpy, like there was a ridge down the middle, and the WIFI is pretty spotty throughout the home. A great experience overall and I would definitely book a stay there again!

The location could not be better, quiet and secluded but also accessible. The big fir trees, the sound of the river just outside your door and the large panel windows to observe it all were wonderful. We hope to return again next year.

Amazing, comfortable home on the river
The location is perfect, secluded enough for privacy yet close enough to civilization. The river sounded wonderful outside the patio doors, and the enclosed backyard let our dog explore in a controlled area. The huge jet tub was also great. Love this place!

A slice of relaxation
This is my husband and teenager's 3rd time to this beautiful property. It is our get away from the day-to-day stress of life. We spent our time listening to the river, sitting by the fire place, visiting, binge watching shows, eating fun foods, puzzling and walking the dogs. No technology! We can't wait to come back next winter!

Beautiful Escape
Loved this spot. The home itself it gorgeous - wonderful master bedroom and bathroom (jacuzzi is a nice touch), modern kitchen, and comfortable family room. Really nice space to come back to after a day of adventure and relax. The location is truly special; the Salmon River is gorgeous and right outside. I was there during one of the first big snowfalls, and waking up to snow dusted river banks was incredible. Easy access to a ton of fantastic hiking trails made this a spot to recommend. The nearby commercial center of Welches has enough amenities to keep you stocked - nice little grocery store, gas station, and a few good bars/restaurants. Fantastic way to see Oregon and Mt Hood.

Lovely home for our stay on Mount Hood
The house and property were quite wonderful. Finding a fully fenced yard for my dogs was a definite plus as many pet allowing facilities do not have that feature. Too bad that's not listed in the advertisement as it might help other folks who have the desire. The location is great as it's not too far from the highway but back far enough that you feel as if you've gotten away. The backyard nestles next to the river and, had it been a warmer time of year, we would have kept the windows and doors open 24 hours a day to listen to the sounds. A few downsides - the wood that was left in the house was wet and did not burn no matter how many ways we tried. We ended up going down and buying wood from a local store. The bed in the smaller bedroom has a loud squeaky headboard that moves everytime one turns over. The bed in the master was nice but it has memory foam that takes a while to reform and so it almost feels like you've made a dip. Overall, we had a great few days and, even with the beds the way they are, we'll go back in the summer time.

Nice house on the salmon river
We enjoyed the layout of the house and all the windows looking out over the River. The master bedroom bed was very comfortable. The guest bed was very squeaky and make it difficult to sleep. The kitchen was well equipped although we couldn’t find any hot pads. We will rent the house again in the summer or fall when we can open all the sliding doors to hear the River and spend time on the deck.

Great house with room for improvement
This house initially seemed great. Beautiful location, really nice kitchen with new appliances. Bathrooms nice and clean. The master bed definitely needs a new mattress, hills and valleys in that one. However, when the power went out, we realized that this house was not appointed in the way it needed to be and ended up leaving a night early because there were only a couple of LED candles that were powered by battery and provided no light at all. There were no candles, no flashlights, no landline, no cell service. The wood that was provided was damp and wouldn't make a fire. We left a night early bc it was freezing and the power didn't go back on after 3 hours. If it was better equipped, I would have given this house a much higher rating.
