Gilmer Apartment Hotel

Gilmer Apartment Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"This Hotel has limited parking, so you will need to rent a space across from the hotel. The hotel will arrange this for you. A five minute walk down the Plimer steps will get you to the main shopping district. From there you can take the cable car to the botanical garden or a bus to Mount Victoria. Or just walk to the waterfront. The room came with a combination washer/drier. If Wellington is a mid point for your travels, this is a very useful feature. They even provide soap powder. Wellington weather is changeable in the winter. So, dress in layers. The front desk closes early, so make sure you let the hotel know if you are going to be a late arrival."

Rydges Wellington

10/10 Excellent
"Our travel changed a the last minute and we ended up arriving early morning instead of mid afternoon- Gem (Jen?) was so lovely and helpful. All the front desk staff were great. Such a lovely hotel, would’ve liked to have stayed longer. Good facilities (although the spa wouldn’t get warm which was a shame so couldn’t use it - and was one of the main reasons I selected this hotel! But excellent experience overall."
