"Lovely stay in one of the lodge rooms spacious and modern and very clean and comfy . Service is brilliant staff friendly . The food in the pub is super very tasty and the pies are amazing .very dog friendly love staying here and will be back would absolutely recommend "

"A quirky b&b. Lovely inside and lots of thought has gone into the place by the owner. Very comfortable and relaxing place. Access 24/7 via coded door. Lovely settee area on ground floor with kitchen area. We had rooms 1. 4 and 6 for our group of 5 adults. Host superb. Nothing any hassle. Would go back. "

Some good points, but also some significant issues.

"The property has many good aspects as highlighted in the description, but also some issues. When we arrived the place stank of stale water / drains. We ran the washing machine on a hot wash which seamed to improve things, but the smell never fully went away. We suspect this may be due to the damp in the kitchen wall. The "parking space" consists of an area shared with the property next door which would only be big enough if both occupants drive nothing bigger than a city car. Given the place sleeps 6, this is never going to be the case. In theory there is parking on the street, but in practice there are never any spaces available. Luckily there was nobody staying next door, otherwise parking would have been a real problem. The front two bedrooms are too small for the size of beds put in them and have insufficient sound insulation against traffic noise."

A very attractive detached character house, with pretty cottage garden.

Home away from home

"We had a wonderful stay at this cottage in wells. It's located conveniently and is an easy walk to the town. The house was spotlessly clean and incredibly comfortable. We had been left a welcome package in the kitchen which was a nice touch. The four rooms were well sized and bed comfortable, and the bathroom upstairs and downstairs were clean. This layout is quite quirky with many different levels. The driveway parking provided was quite tight so we parked on the road outside instead. Would definitely stay again :) "

Lovely cottage in an excellent location

"Lovely little fisherman’s cottage, perfect for 2 and our dogs. Well equipped kitchen. Comfortable bed and lounge area with a log burner which was cosy in the evenings. Excellent proximity to Wells and all its amenities. "

"What a fantastic find. The property was simply stunning. Well equipped’ maintained & clean. A super welcome when we arrived - thank you!! Brilliant location -a walkers paradise - just a few minutes walk to the quay & half an hour by the channel to the beach. We had a wonderful weekend as a family. We’ll definitely return. "

Bay Cottage - Two Bedroom House, Sleeps 3

Please note before booking

"A lovely welcome pack greets you. Thank you. Bedrooms clean as well as shower room. However on the minus side it was not mentioned that the WC is incredible small and they the door opens out to the stairs. At night you could get it wrong and fall down the stairs. We left a light on to help us seeing the edge of the stairs. The road seems to be uses as a rat race and vehicles are driving very fast down the strip at any time during the day or night. The overhead cooker hub is noticeably dirty and has not been cleaned for a while. The tap when running water , squirts it out sideways which doesn’t help when trying to start washing up. For these reasons we would not stay here again."
