Set within the stunning Holkham Estate, this bespoke shepherd’s hut is the perfect escape for a single person looking to relax and get back to nature, or a couple seeking a quiet, romantic retreat. You’re less than a mile from Holkham Beach, a vast expanse of golden sand perfect for leisurely strolls with breathtaking views. On your doorstep are the gates to the Holkham Estate, making it easy to explore its deer-filled parkland, lake (with rowing-boat hire), walled garden, ice house and, of course, the incredible Holkham Hall, an 18th-century Palladian-style house full of treasures. The vibrant seaside town of Wells-next-the-Sea is just 2 miles away, where you’ll find an array of independent shops as well as bars, cafes and restaurants, while Burnham Market – another great destination for excellent shops and eateries – is just 4 miles away, and the Georgian town of Holt is only 13 miles away.
Taking luxury glamping to the next level, the hut is fully insulated, centrally heated and has been built to a bespoke design that is larger than average, with a wooden floor and tranquil decor inspired by natural tones and textures. Take the steps up to the front door to find a meticulously detailed interior with space for cooking, eating, relaxing and sleeping. The fully equipped kitchen area, with lovely slate worktops and a butler’s sink, includes all the cooking facilities you’ll need to create delicious meals, and you can dine at the chunky oak breakfast bar, which has delightful views across the meadow. Snuggle up on the sofa and enjoy your favourite shows on the Smart TV, then spend a dreamy night’s sleep in the king-sized bed at the far end. Clothes storage is provided, and there’s space below the bed for luggage – as well as a built-in dog den for your four-legged friends. Completing this charming interior is a separate shower room, with a drench shower and a WC.
The hut is set within a carefully landscaped area with pretty planting, alongside three other high-quality huts, and with hedging and fencing for privacy. You’ll have a private patio on which to relax in the sunshine, which includes outdoor seating and a gas BBQ. Parking for one car is designated within the car park at The Victoria, a hotel just a few metres away.
