Upon check in I was presented with a list of rules (empty bins, strip beds on departure amongst others) and asked for a €400 deposit for any potential breakages of which couldn’t be processed due to restrictive refund policies. "We had a fantastic stay at citizenM Rotterdam! The staff are outstanding—incredibly friendly, hard-working, and genuinely dedicated to making your stay great. The hotel’s quirky design brings so much character to the experience. While the rooms are compact, they are impeccably clean, highly comfortable, and elevated by fun features like customizable mood lighting. We were also lucky enough to have a beautiful view over the Old Harbour. The communal lounge spaces are equally well-thought-out and unique. Location-wise, it couldn't be better: right on the Old Harbour, a short stroll from the Markthal, and steps from Rotterdam Blaak station for effortless train, metro, and tram links across the city. Highly recommended, and a big thank you to the whole team for a brilliant stay!"
