"The rooms are small but the overall building is amazing. Great old building, wonderful sense of history, Nice fires and feeling to the place. We were the only guests, it was winter but I think it had only just re-opened. The manager was very hospitable, was missing a few ingredients for my partners cocktails but the place had a great feel."

"Easy parking outside the unit. The unit was spacious and comfortable. Full kitchen for meal prep if you want. A bit of a walk into town but easy to do and takes about 20 minutes. Great place to stay."

"basic property but good to use as a base if you have your own transport. Furniture in disrepair and some lights not working throughout the property and no bbq due to previous customers destroying it. However host was easy to contact regarding any issues and prepared to help as best they could. "

"After a strange (as in no prior details emailed to us) solitary check-in we acclimatised quickly to the comfortable, well equipped and clean property. Our misgivings about the curious land around the house were soon dismissed. The wet, windy and stormy weather did not help. But it was winter after all. The long desolate driveway and the old homewares around the nearby garage were a bit disconcerting. All in all we were comfortable and well located to the main town and its off-season services....

"The property has the most wonderful views from its elevated position. The driveway is steep - but worth it. Imagine beautiful sunsets in front of a roaring fire on the deck in autumn - that’s what we got. (Not sure if the owners arranged the sunsets, but the fire & indoor wood burner were ready to light.) Kitchen was stocked with choice of cereals plus milk & juice for breakfast plus other nice touches. There were many appliances & cookware options and a BBQ to boot. Bathroom & kitchen...

"We loved our stay at Tall Timbers, great for families. We had our 6yo granddaughter with us and she enjoyed the pool area and the meals. If the spa could have been a couple of degrees warmer than the pool, everything would have been perfect."
