Oceanfront - 3 Bedroom Villa - BEST VIEW IN TORTOLA

Ewing House is nestled on a hillside, 60 feet above sea level, with the ocean bordering two sides and offering stunning views of the “mile-long” Long Bay Beach. Every bedroom and common room provides sweeping vistas of the endless Atlantic Ocean and nearby islands, with the iconic Jost Van Dyke being the most prominent. Many of our guests have praised Ewing House for offering the best view in Tortola.

Just a 2-minute walk from the house, the beach begins at the foot of our driveway, only about 50 yards away. Ewing House is one of the rare properties on Tortola directly located on a usable beach. Most other rental homes are perched up the hill, far from the beach, making our location a unique and desirable feature. You may even recognize this picturesque beach from calendars and other Caribbean publications.

Situated on Tortola’s West End, Ewing House provides easy access to a variety of beaches perfect for sunbathing, swimming, snorkeling, and surfing. The West End also boasts excellent restaurants, scenic walking and running loops along the ocean, as well as sailing and scuba diving day trips. If you prefer a more relaxed pace, you can simply unwind on the porch, reading in the shade or sunbathing while watching the waves roll in.

The house features three spacious bedrooms, each offering the same breathtaking view and size, with private baths and dressing areas. All bedrooms are equipped with air conditioning and ceiling fans for comfort.

Daily housekeeping services are provided by our wonderful manager, Christine. Whether you’re exploring the island or taking a short ferry trip to nearby islands, there’s always something to do. But if relaxation is what you’re after, you’ll find no better place to unwind.

Unable to enjoy view most of stay in April

We were not told about how hot main living area as air conditioning is only in bedrooms. The sun is so strong you can only tolerate deck with view early am and late pm. Also share driveway with another house and found ourselves blocked a few times. Septic backed up and could not do laundry or shower for 2 days. Seems being a rental they should check tank as it was full.

Oh what a VIEW!!!!

The view from the balcony is hands down breathtaking! The location and beach access is superb. The house had 3 ensuite bedrooms and an efficient floor plan.

Beautiful beach house!

The house was perfect for our two families including two teenagers and 4 adults. Beach access and the beautiful view could not be beaten and the host and house manager were extremely helpful and responsive.

We had a fantastic time. The house is in a great location. The views are amazing. The host was very prompt when I had questions and was very helpful with information about the house, restaurants, directions & car rentals. The house was clean, kitchen was well stocked, beds were comfortable, beach access, great restaurants at the end of driveway. Christine the house manager made sure the house was clean and refreshed with linens.

Ewing House hit the mark

We had a group at Long Bag Beach resort. Ewing House location was perfect to meet friends at the resort. we simply walked down the driveway and to the beach; 5 min walk max. House is very clean and the view is perfect.

View to die for

We loved our stay and the view after walking in front door never gets old. Were able to walk to our favorite beach (Smugglers Cove) and local restaurants. Sebastian’s and both restaurants at Long Bay resort were all very much enjoyed. Would highly recommend.

Tortola Retreat

Wonderful home in wonderful location. Beautiful view of long bay and Jost. Silky sand beach steps away. As well as two great restaurants. Shady 30 minute trek to Smugglers Cove, with nice snorkeling, calm waters and beach bars. Home has 3 king bedrooms with en suites, nice patio and decks, and good kitchen for meals at home. Great place!

Great Time in the BVI!

We are 3 couples in our 60's visiting Ewinging House for the second time. The house is in a perfect location, right above the beach. We ate out almost every night; our favorites were Tropical Fusion, Bananakeet, Sebastians and Sugar Mill. We used Stouts Taxi service and Murlises Taxi. The beach had changed a bit since our last visit in 2016. The ocean was very rough and there was coral in the water so be careful where you walk. We spent a day at Smugglers Cove where the water was much calmer. Had drinks and wonderful hot dogs at Nigel's Boom Boom Beach Bar! In all, we had a wonderful stay. We didn't want to go home.

Do We Have to Leave?

My family of four so enjoyed our 2 week stay at the Ewing House. What a special place on this planet, views were over the top gorgeous, loved our walks to the beach, Tropical Fusions and the resort. The locals on Tortola are the kindest and most lovely people. Enjoyed days on Long Bay, hanging with Nigel at Smugglers Cove (so convenient and an amazing beach), soaking in the sun and sounds at Cane Garden, and a super easy and fun day to Jost. Great local restaurants to boot.

Must be one of the best views in the world!

We stayed there seven years ago before the hurricane. We were a bit concerned on what we would find, but the house is in excellent shape. We had a wonderful time ambling on the beaches snorkeling right out in front of the house and in smugglers cove. The memories from this wonderful place will be forever in your mind once you visit.

Ewing house at Long Bay

Heaven! Okay, more details. My wife and I returned to Long Bay for the first time in 40 years. We stayed at the old Long Bay Resort (now rebuilt) and the new resort looks sensational. We elected to stay at Ewing house for the kitchen and additional room and we were not disappointed. Great view of the beach and surrounding islands. The sunset was front and center on the deck of the house every afternoon. Truly a short walk to the beach. Christine, the housekeeper/welcoming committee/and more was priceless. We had ordered groceries ahead of our arrival and Christine put them away for us. We alternated eating at Tropical Fusion and 1748 and had great meals. Lunch or dinner at Sebastian's at the Beach was on our plan but we didn't make it there. I recommend Jerry's Car Rental which is a small local company but tremendous service. If you are renting a car and are not familiar with Tortola, print a map with good directions as there are no signs with street names or other indicators. Also do not plan to rely on GPS on your phone unless you get a phone that works on the island. Ewing house has three bedrooms, each with their own bathrooms so having the house for just my wife and myself seemed like we were not making proper use of the space so maybe soon we will return with family. Communication with the homeowner was great and helpful. We highly recommend Ewing house although we would prefer to keep it a secret so it would be certain to be available for us.

Paradise!

We had such an amazing time in beautiful Long Bay and this villa was the perfect place for our family! The views were unmatched and we didn’t really need to ever leave the whole week. I had to force my family to leave and explore just a bit because everyone was perfectly content to just stare at the gorgeous scenery. The beach was gorgeous and very secluded, and a super short walk to the end of the driveway. 2 great restaurants and a bar right on the beach. Several other great restaurants within a 10-15 min walk, or just grill and make food at the house. We found this location to be very accessible to everything on the island and hope to be back. And Christine was incredibly helpful and responsive to all of our questions. You will never regret staying in this wonderful paradise!!

Absolutely Beautiful!!!

We had an amazing vacation! The pictures don’t even do it justice. The house is beautiful and Long Bay is one of the most beautiful beaches on the island. We came here to celebrate our 21st anniversary and my mother’s recovery after triple heart bypass surgery. We fell in love with Long bay and waking up to that amazing view every day! Christine was so nice and helpful. She is very knowledgeable of all things local and she will kindly give advice when asked. She even cooked rice and beans for us one day! There were beach chairs, board games we played one night with my two teens, and a new outdoor grille. My mom would take a chair and go down to the beach early everyday. 12 glorious days

Perfect location and home for our 3 couples. You won’t find a better vacation home this size on Tortola. The view is to die for and we actually purchased a small print of our view in one of the shops. Mimi has done a beautiful job of providing everything you need. Kareem with Perfection car rental was wonderful. He went far and beyond in helping us. We are owners of a VRBO property on the coast of SC and I can attest this is a perfect property.

AMAZING VIEW, AMAZING PROPERTY!!!

Four of us just spent a week at Ewing House. It exceeded all our expectations! Mimi communicated with us before the trip, answered all our questions, and anticipated our needs, giving us great advice. We preordered groceries from Bobby's online, and they delivered them to the house before we arrived. Christina, the wonderful housekeeper for the Ewing House, met the delivery and put everything away so that when we arrived, the drinks were cold and all our food was there for our first dinner. The view was out of this world - better than the photos. All the bedrooms were lovely, spacious, with ensuite bathrooms and AC. The 4th bathroom off the living room was wonderful. We walked the beach everyday, often stopping at the Tropical Fusion Restaurant, which was just 25 yards down the beach, for a smoothie or dinner. We didn't rent a car, but used Merlise's taxi service. She lives very close, and her son Eddie drove us to Smuggler's Cove every other day. It is a fabulous swimming beach, very calm, uncrowded and beautiful. There are beach chairs and umbrellas to rent, and Nigel cooks lunch there, and there is a small beach bar. Eddie also took us up to Bananakeet restaurant. Go before sunset for the fabulous view, and stay for the food! We took a sail on the Aristocat catamaran to Virgin Gorda to visit the Baths. The boat and crew were wonderful and it's great to sail up Drake's Channel. Christina is the housekeeper, and took fabulous care of us! We were spoiled by her every day! She also gave us lots of great advice. We have rented houses all over the world, and Ewing House is the best we've ever rented! We can't wait to come back! Thanks Mimi!

Couldn't have been better!

We had the pleasure of spending a week at the Ewing House. It was spectacular! The house itself is amazing. There was plenty of space for the six of us and it was immaculate and well stocked . We spent every morning sipping coffee, while looking off the deck at the turtles swimming in the turquoise, crystal water. Days were spent lounging on the beach that is only steps away from the house. Mimi was responsive to anything we asked about or needed. I would recommend Ewing House to anyone looking for a truly relaxing, 5 star vacation. We can't wait to go back!!!!
