In fact the main road spends about 8km in West Lavington parish, from the high downland south of Gore, the 'buried village of Salisbury Plain', past Gore Cross, where it is intersected by an important ridgeway, down a long descent beside landscaped woodland (known as The Warren) and into the pleasant valley where the village sits, then along some 2km of ribbon development associated with the linear village of Littleton Pannell, before leaving the parish north of the railway bridge. "Excellent location, close to many nice large and small restaurants, including several very good ethnic restaurants. Very close to the river, very close to the Roman baths and the Cathedral, with also a beautiful church right across the street. My room was tiny but adorable. Breakfast was limited but there were so many great places to eat nearby that I only stayed for breakfast one time. The room was clean but the cleaning staff was a little erratic. Overall I love the Indigo hotels."

"The staff were all very accommodating and friendly. The room was clean and the staff came back at a time requested for our room to be serviced. The evening meal was lovely and the cocktails made by the barman were excellent. We had 2 pets with us and the room had 2 pet beds set up in our room on arrival which was lovely. "
