The Victory at Mersea
"The staff especially Sam were extremely helpful and friendly. We had a double sea view room, it was lovely and clean although small. Patio doors that lead on to the communal balcony so wasn’t much privacy. It was very hot in the evening, with only the tiniest window to open and you couldn’t leave ..."

St Nicholas Hotel
"We have stayed here a few times and this experience wasn’t our favourite. We had booked for breakfast and were forgotten about by the breakfast staff. My partner had to flag down a member of staff and ask if we could order. When the food did arrive, mine was burnt, it certainly wasn’t worth the £19. ..."

Delta Hotels by Marriott Colchester
"The hotel was alright but charging nearly a tenner to park in their own car park is a joke. Good breakfast albeit another £30. Had to spend nearly the room cost again to park and eat. Could have got somewhere much nicer if I wanted to spend over £100 and eaten and parked for free. Wouldn't come ..."

Our host couldn’t have been any more helpful and communication was seamless. I would highly recommend the property and hope to ..."

Lighthouse Retreat - A stones throw from West Mersea beach
"Great location, easy check-in. Caravan was everything but luxurious. It was very dirty. We find old sweet papers under the bed. I would not return it is not worse the value. Despite of this we had a great stay in the island."

Beautiful period fisherman's cottage
"A wonderful place to stay in a quiet location, and just a few yards to the waterfront. Our host was quick to communicate and the information provided in advance was faultless. The building has period charm, excellent garden space, and was clean throughout. A minor criticism would be a lack of enough ..."
