Enchanted Treehouse On Lake Michigan - Near Grand Haven and Holland

The Enchanted Treehouse is perched on a sand dune overlooking Lake Michigan with 100' of private lakefront. Enjoy the magnificent lake views from every room or the deck with table, chairs and BBQ.

Enjoy sightseeing and dining in Grand Haven 9 miles (15 minutes) to the north or Holland 12 miles (20 minutes) to the south. Take the 145 steps to the beach and park your blankets or chairs on your own private beach. There are no rocks and the sugar-fine sand slopes gently into the crystal clear water.

Avoid the crowds and enjoy the peace and tranquility that this property has to offer. This unique modern rustic, post and beam style cottage was designed by award winning architect Chuck Posthumus to maximize lake views while minimizing environmental impact on the critical dune.

Sorry, not suitable for weddings or other events. Parking is limited. The unique features of this house that provide the spectacular treetop views, also make the home more physically demanding and unsuitable for people who have physical or ambulatory limitations and it is not handicapped accessible.

Rates are based on 2 guests; add $10.00 per night, per additional guest. 1 - 2 dogs allowed with owner's permission and additional pet fee. Must request at time of booking and provide breed, size and age.

There are outdoor security cameras onsite. One faces the driveway, two faces the two entry doors, and one faces the steps to the beach.

This place has a fantastic view and private access to the lakefront, which our group took full advantage of. It was clean and had all the amenities in the kitchen and bathrooms, which we needed to cook and be comfortable staying for several days.

We were very happy with our stay at the enchanted treehouse ! You might warn potential guests about the Stone steps to the lake, though. We had no problem with them, but some less active folks might find them a bit intimidating. Overall, a lovely place to stay !

I cannot praise this treehousebhaven enough. Clean, spacious, private, well-equipped, private, right on the beach….did I say private?! The climb down to the beach and back up again was tough for little kids (very steep), but other than that it was great! Lots of family board games, a pack n’ play, and even some toddler toys made it easier to travel with kids.

The tree house is one of a kind. We try to make it an annual tradition to spend a long weekend there. You rarely see other people while visiting and the views of Lake Michigan are stunning. The house comes with everything needed for your stay. You’ll rarely find yourself without an item you forgot. It’s dog friendly too which is a major plus. Our doodle loves to swim and lay on the deck watching the squirrels. There are many steps to the beach - one point of caution for older people or children. It’s a commitment to go down to the beach but definitely worth it!

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful getaway at the Treehouse. The beach is wide (this year) with rock-free soft sand and a very gradual entrance into the water. The house is rustic, but comfortable and nicely equipped. The view of the lake is wonderful and it was nice to enjoy the shade from the trees surrounding the house. We look forward to visiting again!
