"Disappointing. The room was cold upon arrival, with the Aircon set at only 17.5°. However turning the Aircon up was a problem, as it kept defaulting to a lower temperature than set, so it took a day for it to climb to only 20°. The shaver socket did not fit a UK shaver, astonishing for a UK hotel."

"Chose the mini suite with kitchen, not really intending to use the kitchen but just wanted to warm some milk before bed. BUT no the kitchens are non functioning the hob and ovens are disabled for customers SAFETY !!!! As an OAP clearly I am not experienced enough to use a hob or oven. Why sell a room with a kitchen and add a premium to the price and then disable all the appliances? There is a desk - NO plug sockets anywhere nearby, no usb points anywhere in the room. Only plug socket not in the kitchen is covered by the sliding door to the bathroom! Good luck if you need plug in a hair dryer or straighteners. The complimentary gin in the room will barely make one drink certainly not two. Room was clean and looked good but badly designed for any practical purposes. If you need to call the hotel for any reservations ignore all the options on the phone system as they will will be permently engaged or just not answered at all. Opt for reception as they are the only ones that will answer."

"Positives - clean and spacious room and bathroom. Plenty of storage space and lots of plugs! - hotel was well maintained and clean no real issues there. - gym was well equipped - free weights, bench, treadmill, glider, bike and a pelaton. - breakfast buffet was plentiful - nice that can ask for ready to order eggs if want something different. Wanted plain omelette for our little one and provided for us no problem. - had dinner one evening - portion sizes are good and food came piping hot! - spacious car park. - hot cookies on arrival! - loved that there was an activity table for kids in the reception with colouring, building blocks and little chairs. It helped during check in to keep the little one busy. - lifts come quick and very frequent. Improvements - have to pay £7.50 per night parking, feel this should be reduced more or complementary if stay minimum nights as other hotels do. - shower head was leaking the whole time! - weird dry mould in bathroom which wasn’t nice to see. - stayed 3 nights and didnt have no room cleaning even though left sign on door for 2 days we was out. Needed clean towels and bin changes especially with a little one - asked at reception had to wait nearly 2hours for someone to come and give towels and empty the bins! Not great - telephone in room didn’t work so had to keep going to reception if needed something. "

"Great location. We walked from the cruise port in 20 minutes. Walked to the train station in under 15 minutes. Breakfast was great. They have gluten free options too. Rooms are a good size. You have shopping, restaurants and everything around including the waterfront and old town."
