Perfect getaway spot
"Of course it wasn't ideal weather but it was nice for April in Maine. I was just looking for a place to clear my head, hear the waves, smell the salt air and put my toes in the sand. Maybe catch a sunrise. The sunrise was very small and brief but I was grateful to see it. see it"

"Mid April stay. We shared the beach for three gloriously sunny days with no one but dogs and their owners walking the shore. Winter swimming was amazing. Great beach, safe, flat, wide. We realized the night we got home we left something behind....they ackowledged finding it but still have not had it returned

Downtown westbrook is pleasant. I am not too keen on the Rock Row development, where a fake Vegas is being constructed on the site of a former quarry. It would have been better to do something that respected the environment more.
