"Really nice staff, bar/lounge area and rooms. Ideal for a night or 2 if you are visiting the local area for sight seeing etc. Shepton mallet high street is about 10-15 minute walk away although it is uphill. Taxis where hard to get although could have just been the time of day on the weekend."

"It was a very nice stay with an excellent couple. Warm welcomed. A very nice big dog was also present to welcome. I had to say hello to the dog as he was so friendly. Very cooperative host. Family environment. Residence is upstairs like three rooms and bathroom outside the rooms. Mostly quiet. Nice and clean and a proper communication with the host throughout my stay. I was invited warmly to have breakfast but had no time. Will miss this stay."

"Excellent location
Helpful staff
Check in was online and you collect keycard at kiosk.
I was given room on 1st floor which I like in a basement like space. I have stayed here few times but first time floor below reception. Room was initially hot but day 2 it was cool
Location perfect to attend concert at Bristol Beacon
Lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance
Staff was very nice and helpful at all times."
"We stayed here for 4 nights after we got married (mini-moon) and we couldn't have chosen a better hotel.
The room was amazing - we opted for a delux room - and the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful.
We only used the pool & spa facilities once, but it was nice. It was clean and everything you would want from a pool and spa. Unfortunately there were a lot of children splashing about in it for us to enjoy it fully. Maybe to have adult only pool time would be something we would suggest.
The food and drinks were again what you would expect from hotel of this standard, with plenty of options available.
The location to the centre of Bath and the sites were very welcoming.
8-10 mins from the City Centre and main train station and a 20 minute walk to The Cicle and Royal Crescent.
Who could ask for more. We loved every minute of our stay at this hotel and Bath. We will definitely be going back at somepoint in the near future.
Highly recommended."
"We loved this hotel! It is beautifully decorated, clean and full of old character. They have obviously done upgrades while maintaining the age and beauty. The staff were very helpful . The breakfast was also a great deal with lots of options. Great value. If we are ever in Bristol again, we would stay here in a heartbeat!!"
"Booked through Hotels.com. Sadly the room advertised wasn’t the room we felt we got. Booked executive got deluxe. Room was nice. But very high windows which unless you were 6ft you couldn’t see out.
Room was well decorated. Bed was very comfy. Nice temperature in room. Bathroom was nice.
Room was a little dark near desk for getting ready,
Breakfast room looked very nice. Well laid out buffet. Breakfast looked lovely but a little cold. Coffee was great.
Would like to stay again. Hopefully it would turn out a little better.
Didn’t use the pool facilities."
