We were able to enjoy smooth, simple check-in, quick response from property management and all the little extras (extensive grounds for free play outside, fresh fruit & muffins!) to make our stay one that will be a frequent flier booking. "Hallways were dirty, food and garbage scattered all over. Everything smelled of cigarettes or weed. Poorly made media center was tipping so the drawer would not close, my husband hit his shins on it on the way to the bathroom. Bath tub and sink were stained. Couch had a huge hole. Sheets were rough, mattress was lumpy, towels were very small. No soap or shampoo in the shower. Water pressure was low. There’s a leak somewhere in the bathroom so floor was wet. Check-in staff was fine, check-out staff avoided eye contact and ignored me. "

"The property is close to all sorts of stores and restaurants. The propery itself was clean, modern and nicely decorated. The bed and pillows were great, very comfortable. The exterior is well lit and there's lots of parking. Eric made us feel welcome and the communication could not have been better. We really enjoyed our stay."

"This hotel is run on the bare minimum. In 3 days I only saw 2 people working there, and a third when I checked out. When checking in, the desk attendant seemed to be sleeping in the lobby. The bedding on the king bed were queen size. I don't know what all the wiring and connectors were that were in an open box nex to the TV, but I've never seen anything like it out in the open in a hotel room. Everything looked old and worn. The breakfast was practically non-existent. The apple juice was almost completely water with just a bit of juice mixed in. The lids for coffee cups were not the right size to fit properly so you couldn't even take a cup of coffee to go. I have stayed in AmericInns on a number of occasions and generally the experience has been good. But, I will not be staying at this one on my next trip to the Council Bluffs area. However, I suspect that will not be a decision I will have to make because I can't imagine this place will be open much longer."
