"Nice location on the beach. Room was nice, perhaps getting somewhat aged but that was reflected by the price. A bit longer walk in to Makkum itself, but doable and safe. We picked it for the water view and easy access to laundry facilities, right nearby, for the midpoint of our trip."

"Location is fantastic - but you get the keys and breakfast at a different location. Building is really old but very authentic - though a bit cold in the room. Lovely breakfast though and staff were very nice. "

"Prima, erg stil; we hoorden alleen het ruizen van de wind en de pauwen. Heerlijk. Personeel heel vriendelijk en service gericht. Enig min puntje was dat er een groep ouderen was die behoorlijk hadden gerookt en de sigaretten peuken op de grond hadden gedeponeerd, volle asbakken hadden achter gelaten.Dit afval lag er de volgende dagen nog. Ook was de rook merkbaar ‘‘s avonds in onze kamer zodat we het raam dicht moesten laten. "

"Excellent hotel, new, good restaurant, nice terrasses. A bit far from village but an easy and pleasant walk (if the weather is nice of course). Airco in the room (64) was not functioning well, other room was OK."

"A beautifully renovated building with luxurious style, this genuinely is a boutique place to stay. A spacious and airy bedroom with large en-suite shower room, there’s space to work, relax and sleep. Breakfast is amazing value at under €15 - a feast that’s freshly prepared and presented in the Fire Café next door (there’s an indoor route between the two buildings, served by staff who are friendly and very helpful - perfect."
