"It's in a lovely location and adequate for us as a base, but the place badly needs refurbishment. The lift was out of order, no food available and as a whole it's very tatty."

8/10 Good
"Great staff, excellent spa facilities. The junior suite could use better curtains that can block out light and it gets bright quite early in spring/summer time "
"Welcoming at reception and told about where things were very helpful and understanding Ron was clean and bright with out look onto canal my only niggle was WiFi in room not the best but great at reception and could not tv to work radio through tv ok but wanted to watch a bit of telly overall great place to stop food food and lot of welcoming staff"
"Everything was as it should be clean room friendly staff close to shops
Only issue was breakfast
They had a big group of a lacrosse team and staff one part of the brekfast area was reserved for the lacrosse team so seating was a issue
We ended up seated in the bar erea due to no seats and was told other area was reserved for the team
Cups had run out and was given take away cup instead
And milk
Was dissatisfaction with breakfast with a few people that could not find seating
If there was not going to be enough seating for everyone then i think breakfast should be staggered so all guests can be seated "
"Breakfast menu was limited. Overheard the chef saying to staff member they had mushrooms but will take some time to bring out but then comes to me an says they’re completely out and won’t be adding to breakfast despite there being hour or so to breakfast time finishing. Headboard in bedroom had a dangerous nail sticking out. The en-suite was ridiculously tight with the toilet placed so close to the bathtub there was no room- maybe for a small child. Room wasn’t hovered after we’d been out all day. Pool reception area was filthy - they had an open day for free membership day but didn’t bother cleaning the area full of used dishes and dirty cups. Overall poor service - won’t be back and won’t be recommending to anyone!!!"
