"We stayed in the tree house because of it's location on the Elk County Trail of Dreams. As soon as we parked we were welcomed with the sounds of a nearby stream. The kids enjoyed exploring nature and being secluded. We even learned to enjoy swaying back and forth through a brief thunderstorm. It is a legitimate tree house. With all the natural charm it's easy to forget your only 30 seconds away from the Elk Life Store. There was planting of SxS/ATV traffic going by, but that's why we were there. "

"Came out here for mountain relaxation and hoped to see some elk along the way. Thing is elk are elusive creatures this time of year. We did spot two at quite a distance at the Winslow Hill viewing area. Every evening like clockwork a herd of deer came down off the mountain to graze right behind the cabin. Drove out to Kinzua bridge but didn’t know they were doing work on it. Check website before making that drive. Not a total loss as we had a reservation to tour Straub brewery in St Mary’s that day. Saw elk and bobcat tracks at Beaver Run Pond as well as eagles nesting. The cabin is a great central location for a visit to the PA Wilds and I would return here without a second thought. "
