    Nestled among the towering trees just 19 miles outside of Munising, Cabin in the Woods is the perfect destination for families, friends, snowmobilers, and outdoor enthusiasts looking to experience Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Conveniently located just off Highway 13, this spacious retreat offers the perfect blend of comfort, adventure, and peaceful seclusion.

    With 5 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms, there’s plenty of room for everyone to spread out and relax. The main level features two comfortable bedrooms, while the upper level offers two additional bedrooms along with a cozy loft complete with a queen bed. The finished lower level serves as the fifth sleeping area and includes two bunk bed sets (one featuring three twin beds), a double bed, and a futon—making it an ideal space for kids or larger groups.

    When you’re not exploring the outdoors, enjoy hours of indoor entertainment with a pool table, foosball table, air hockey, and a Smart TV in the lower-level game room.

    Step outside to the spacious back deck, fire up the grill, and soak in the peaceful sounds of nature. As the sun sets, gather around the bonfire, roast marshmallows, share stories, and enjoy unforgettable evenings beneath the stars.

    Adventure is right outside your door! Trail 7 is directly accessible from the cabin, making it a fantastic basecamp for snowmobiling and ATV riding. You’ll also be just minutes from the scenic Indian River, Bruno’s Run hiking trails, and numerous inland lakes that offer excellent fishing opportunities throughout the year.

    The property provides parking for 3–4 trailers (depending on size). Please contact us before booking if you’ll be bringing multiple trailers so we can ensure adequate space.

    Whether you’re planning a winter snowmobile trip, a summer hiking adventure, or simply a relaxing escape in nature, Cabin in the Woods offers everything you need to make lasting memories.

    Please Note: No hunting is permitted anywhere on the property.

We were pleasantly surprised by this cozy house in the woods. It was actually nicer in person than in the pictures. The kitchen was well stocked with most everything we needed. There were 14 in our party but it didn't feel too crowded. The house was clean. The game room in the basement was fun. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect location

We came to trail ride. This property is in a perfect location. We rode to miners castle, Manistique, and Grand Marais and were able to access all the trails needed to get there.

Pictures Rocks House

My family of 5 and a friend’s family of 4 stayed at the house for a few days. It was a great space for the 9 of us. The kids loved the pool table, air hockey table and foosball. It was about a 20/30 minute drive to all the sightseeing we wanted to do which was also great. I would recommend this house to families, especially families traveling together.

We spent most of our time on the trails, but loved having the game room in the evenings. The cabin provided everything we needed and we appreciated being able to get trail passes right down the road at the general store.. we even arrived ten minutes after they closed and they were happy to accommodate. Highly Recommend and everyone in the group said they would stay here again!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Everything was as we expected and there were no unpleasant surprises. This place plays out very nicely for a larger group. We had seven in our party and there was plenty of room for everyone. The location was ideal for our needs. The only exception was the condition of the gas grill (it's pretty old, very rickety and there was no propane tank provided). The beds could be a little more comfortable, but overall we enjoyed our stay here very much and will probably book this place again in the future.

Nice location, cabin was okay.

Perfect location if you want to spend time at both Lake Michigan and Superior. The cabin was just okay, the two queen beds are really old and need replaced. There is no dishwasher and the sink is shallow and the faucet leaks. We had trouble getting the door to lock. Bathroom door needs fixed…it sticks and we smashed our faces into it several times. TV in loft didn’t work. DVDs only play in black and white with bad audio. The pots and pans are all Teflon that is scratched and flaking off. The cabin could be really nice with some updating and upkeep. We did have a really nice time on our vacation though.

Cabin was a perfect for our snowmobile getaway! Trail was 60ft from the driveway and fuel was 1/4 mike down the road. Driveway had ample parking for two 28 foot trailer with trucks attached and a 2 place trailer and truck. Plenty of beds and nice kitchen/living room area.

Nice place off the beaten path

Very nice place, loved the rustic vibes! Beds were a little rough and the downstairs definitely needs a better baby gate, we were traveling with a 1 yr old. Over all we would stay here again! Loved the general store right down the road!!

Reviewer Comments: Upon arrival I new instantly that this rental would be perfect, from a snowmobiling trail spur next to the driveway and the midway general store a few 100 yards down the road, it felt like paradise for this group of six!!!! For a true up north experience the cabin offered it all,cozy furniture, very clean, a basement with awesome games,a warm welcoming tastefully rustic charming decor along with a great management team!!! Overall I would recommend all to stay here.
